So, there is a smattering of shows that I'd love to check out with the only problem being that they're multiple seasons in already. Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Community, The Walking Dead and Parks and Recreation. So, the natural solution is to get Netflix, but seeing as I can't do that at the moment, I decided to check On Demand just to see if, by chance, they might have some of those shows up in their entirety. Well, for a lot of the shows they didn't, but to my surprise they do have Parks and Recreation in their entirety. Being that I've heard a lot of great things about the show and I loved Nick Offerman on 'George Lopez', I decided to give it a go. I should've done that years ago. I'm only halfway through Season 2 right now, but so far it's a very well written show and the characters are fantastic. So far there's not a character I don't enjoy, and even though I'm not a huge fan of Aziz Ansari I enjoy Tom, as well. I'm hoping the show stays as good as it is right now, and this thread will serve to let anybody know that, if they were thinking about checking out the show and can, definitely do it. Plus, Aubrey Plaza is fine. So, yeah, ITT let's discuss this awesome show. Again, I've got a ways to go, but I'm hoping the rest of the show, so far, is just as good.

Parks and Recs is one of my favorite shows ever. Totally agree every character is well written and is such a great show, but I would say Ben, Tom and Jean Ralphio are my favorite characters.

It took me a while as well. I just started watching it several months back on Netflix. Finished the first four seasons in 5 days and then went and subscribed to Hulu Plus just so I could watch the fifth season. It's got a great cast and everyone plays their roles perfectly. Like you, I'm not a fan of Ansari's stand up but he's great on this. I am ready for the new season to start.

I'm glad I stayed with after a kind of uneventful season 1. It is hilarious!

I couldn't live without Ron Swanson in my life.
I can't even imagine it.

I know huh! I thought it would be terrible, but I caught the end of a show and am addicted to it.

All the supporting characters are great too.
Pawnee is like the new Springfield. The whole town makes the show.

Could you watch the series if you skip the first season? Is the first season that bad?

All the supporting characters are great too. Pawnee is like the new Springfield. The whole town makes the show. I know, I love the town hall meetings.

When the show came on I worked in a parks department and do something similar now and I have to say,the show is nothing like reality. Those people are way to sane to be parks people, and also too normal.

I watched the show a while back on Netflix and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
Speaking of which, it seems like Netflix never plans on adding new episodes of this or Bob's Burgers.
