“Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.” {Spoiler}-Socrates Just a nice counter to the ever-present mindset that other generations had more manners and were better at their job of being kids than the present generation; that of which always changes to go along with this mindset. Not here, mind you, just all over the web.

Something magical and nefarious happens in your early twenties - you begin to see everything younger as rude, disrespectful and terrifying.

Its mind blowing to think of all the different ways History repeats itself...

I guess this is as good a place as any for me to gush over a new favorite movie of mine, Wild in the Streets. The majority of the population is under 25 and they want power, baby. They lead a national rebellion to gain voting rights for everyone under 15, you dig? Then they elect one of their own to Congress, Sally LeRoy. After they put LSD into the Washington DC water supply the required age for a representative is changed to.... 14. The required age for a senator is changed to.... 14. And the required age for president is changed to... 14. Once elected, President Max Frost declares 30 to be the new retirement age and for everyone above 35 to be relocated to Paradise Camps to spend the rest of their days tripping in quiet luxury, man.

It's not that the next generation is any more terrible than the one that preceded it, it's that by and large, people in general suck.
