So.........what now? Are we going to get emo Christian now that he lost? Is he going to retire because he realized Del Rio will never lose the belt, or is he going to get another match and that video package be ignored?

Well, the next step is obviously ONE. MORE. MATCH.

I really don't understand why he lost.
We've seen all we're ever going to see of World Champ Del Rio. There's nothing for him. Why they think Christian can't hold the almost pointless World Title I don't understand.

Having gotten his last world title match on a big show, Captain Charisma will now ride off into the sunset.
And by sunset, of course I mean midcard.

He had Del Rio pinned for at least 5 seconds. The ref screwed up!
ONE. MORE. MATCH.

Christian should've won the World Title and rode off into the sunset with it. As in quietly kill it off. That way we don't have to see WWE trying so hard to pass upper midcarders off as main eventers anymore.

He had Del Rio pinned for at least 5 seconds. The ref screwed up! ONE. MORE. MATCH. That's the kind of thing for Raw/Smackdown or a minor PPV that sets up one more match at the big PPV where the hero can finally get his due. It would be pitiful for him to continue the ONE. MORE. MATCH. thing from here, which probably means that's exactly what's going to happen.

It really was depressing to see him lose this match. I don't know why, but it felt similar to how I felt during Flair's and HBK's retirement matches.
There's a part of me that hopes he stays on and continues to get a run at, or near, the top. But if he retired after that match, I don't think I'd be upset anymore either.
I think after the years of poor treatment they've given him I feel just kind of defeated as a fan of the guy.

Based on his new shirt I'd say we may see a return to the ONE MORE MATCH Christian where he basically never stops asking, conniving, cheating for one more match. Hopefully its against someone else. Him and Del Rio had a great match, but ... I dunno - Del Rio honestly schooled him pretty hard over all.

Stupid. Stupid. WWE.
I mean how much more of Del Rio do we need to see?
Drew McIntyre has obviously seen enough.

It's like WWE was TRYING to get you to believe that Christian had a chance, given that video package.
Granted, it was a great match (2nd favorite of the night), but it feels wasted on this negative force of nature that is Alberto Del Rio. But whatever...I guess McMahon is still convinced he can tap the Latino market with this guy who has great matches but I couldn't care less about him the other 95% of the time.
And I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the "pin". Hopefully that gets pointed out on SD and that ref is fired.

I was baffled as to why Christian was in this match in the first place given that he came back with no real hype or momentum. I would have put Christian with Dean Ambrose in a US title feud and had RVD in the title match with Del Rio. Litmus test: Would anyone have been jarred by Christian working the pre show vs. Ambrose? Since Christian tapped out last night I say switch those guys on the card and put Christian with Ambrose now (which actually was sorta set up with that Shield vs. Christian/Usos 6 man).

I think there's a strong chance he retires tonight or on SD!. He got the one more match, a career video.

Alberto as champion is like that curse in Red Dead Undead Nightmare. It just never ends.
