This thread is dedicated to those certain type of workers. Not workers that are particularly good, or charismatic. Not ones that have very well thoughtout gimmicks, but not quite Wrestlecrap either. They never really cut promos, or take part in big matches. They're also not quite jobbers either. No, this thread is dedicated to those guys that are just.....there. You may even overlook them, it's not like the announce team wants you to care. These kind of workers might even beat their share of jobbers or two, but they never quite hold any gold higher than a tag title. I'm talking about guys like this man, The Barbarian. His named never changed, but then again neither did his character really. Then again, I don't think his character development went any further than 'just some big guy'. This thread's for you, Barbarian. For your long wrestling career, spanning across numerous promotions, that never really had an effect on any of us.

Hmmm
Henry Godwinn I guess. He was a solid wrestler, never really changed much. He never bothered me and I kinda liked him, but knew he wasn't going very far without the Godwinns tagteam.

How about Ice Train from WCW? Granted, I don't know if he went on to other gimmicks, but in his Ice Train run in 96, he was the definition of "just there".

I think I actually marked for Barbarian once in the 1990? Royal Rumble when Warrior and Hogan were knocked out and he entered. He didnt seem to have a clue what to do then.

I marked for Barbarian when he was teaming up with Haku/Meng in WCW

The Barbarian changed his name and his gimmick (kinda, since he changed it to his real life) when he was part of the HeadShrinkers in 1994. But still; nothing against this guy because I loved the Demolition/Powers of Pain feud and his match with Tito Santana at WrestleMania VI was one of my favorite meaningless WrestleMania matches. He also had another goodie against Bret Hit Man Hart right before SummerSlam '91.
Seriously, he had a really good career with the WWF and WCW, plus he didn't seem to make much of a fool of himself at any point. Here's to you Real American Hero. Certain Wrestler!

Meng/Haku fits the bill just as well. Bad-ass tough guy that gets a push a couple of times a year. Nitro would push the hell out of him for 90 minutes as a real threat to Goldberg. Then Big Bill would squash him in 2 minutes.

I think Test is the definition of 'that guy'.
He's always floated around, occasionally having a feud, sometimes being pushed as a beast, but always falls back right where he started. Just a wrestler making a paycheck.
