I remember many years ago there was a video store inside a Wal Mart that my mom used to take me to when I was a kid, and I always remember that they had several wrestling tapes but none were from WWF or WCW, which was odd to me since every other video store I went to only had WWF and maybe 1 or 2 WCW tapes.
This store had 6 or 7 tapes, some I know some were from AWA when Rick Martel was champion, some were from WCCW, and I guess some were from NWA. My mom wouldn't let me rent videos from there (because they had an adult section, which is really odd since it was in a Wal Mart.) The one thing I remember seeing on one of the VHS boxes was a match they hyped as Ricky Steamboat's retirement match. It seemed really weird to me because he was still wrestling when I saw the VHS box in 1992 or 93, and I could tell the tape was probably 10 years old at that point, and because I was about 10 or 11 I didn't realize how wrestling retirements rarely lasted.
Anyone know about this early 80's Ricky Steamboat retirement, which I assume occurred based on the age of the tape happened before coming to WWF, and any clue what this VHS tape might have been.
