How did I not remember this at the time? I was just looking for some videos of raw in Birmingham In the UK last year and found this one, 18 seconds in its me being the antithesis of the "I hate you Heath Slater" guy

This was the time period when he was getting in those high-profile Legends matches. It was a pretty big boost to his reputation to go from the jobber of the Nexus to being the guy trusted to work with legacy WWE Hall of Famers close to 'Mania season.

Awww, Slater seemed so happy when he heard that. He's the greatest heel jobber we could possibly ask for. His jobbing is the stuff of legends.

Heath Slater needs a flukey Honky Tonk Man like run with the the IC title or something. It would be hilarious.

Plus, we got to see guys like Sid and DDP come back instead of guys like Snuka who they bring back all the time.

Slaters run in with the Legends™ was one of my favourite storylines of that entire year. I kept hoping that Jimmy Hart would come back to manage him for a match but I guess that was a no go.
