Sky also started talking shit about Kevin Steen on twitter and called out PWG management for backing him up back for Steen dropped the title to Cole. And his attitude would be an issue in a lot of companies that treat the locker room as a family (which both PWG and CZW do). As for the indies and economics, it depends. CZW was not making money when Zandig was ready to sell, but with DJ CZW makes good enough money... of course, DJ opened up a lot of sponsorship and partnership opportunities that Zandig didn't. I don't know a lot about PWG's financing but they seem to make solid money BUT they also don't spend as much as some of the other companies due to not doing shows every month. Really? Sky burying their number 1 draw was moronic, maybe he thought that he was unf***able because he was tight with Joey Ryan and went back to the early days of PWG. Yeah PWG seems to be content on their spot and not spending money to expand quickly, the main reason why the promotions die, on his RF Shoot, Joey said that an opportunity in advertising or something, to attract more fans to their show presented itself, and that Super Dragon responded "and where would I put the extra people?" Maybe they're making good enough money, and it wouldn't be worth to lose it in an expansion
Contrary to that, didn't Dragon say he came close to getting Bryan/Angle in a bigger arena when Angle left WWE (and before he was at TNA). They must have become really settled at Legion Post since that time to the point where they never want a show outside of that venue (not including KRM, if they even do it again after this year off from it that is...). Makes it a bit harder for international fans like myself to see the product live with there seemingly never going to be another European Vacation again, but LP seems like a really special venue and atmosphere especially during Anniversary/DDT/BOLA shows. I have said many times before that it is the first thing I will be saving up after I go to my first Mania in 31 (across the pond), and LP truly seems like the perfect fit for them (outside of Larry/air conditioning but atmosphere/crowd/intensity bar none) I would think they get a good deal from their DVDs despite highspots producing them. Something like 70/30, and with people buying all three nights of BOLA due to great previews/live reviews they could be doing really good after a bigger than normal event weekend push like that

Yeah, SD was gonna book Angle vs Bryan, Kurt just started in TNA, he was gonna do the show, but TNA called him and said that Angle wasn't doing outside bookings. Regarding the European Vacation, Super Dragon said that the experience was so bad, that after that he won't ever work with another promoter in the wrestling business.

I personally feel that the PWG booking team (Joey, Excalibur, Supes, and the Bucks) are extremely comfortable running in Reseda because: 1. Larry rents the place out for cheap 2. I'm sure that both Larry and PWG make a decent amount of money via alcohol and concession sales (People love to get drunk at the Legion Hall) 3. The place has become iconic in the US indie scene 4. People like that the wrestlers and the fans kinda feel like one giant family and the intimacy of the Legion Hall helps create that atmosphere.
Not only that, but Excalibur and Super Dragon no longer make a living as pro wrestlers anymore. Hell, Excalibur doesn't even live in LA anymore(He lives in San Diego). So, running one a month or once every other month lets Supes and Excalibur open up a weekend for themselves to get to the shows. Also, the guys on the roster get bookings elsewhere while still giving them enough time to schedule ahead and leave space for a PWG show; the booking team has enough time in between shows to create the glorious shows we get ever time they put on a show.

Couple of things, when did Bucks join the booking team?! Never knew, but that's really cool considering they aren't from the original group that started the company. It does make me wonder also how much input they have on the team considering they are now in Japan and many other organizations around the globe most of the time. I assume Excalibur/Dragon are the one's that get final say on overall tone of show/who wins all the really important stuff, e.g. BOLA/DDT Do you know where Dragon and Excalibur also get income from? Just out of interest considering they have one own one of the most renowned and loved indy organizations of this era, how do you even have time to do anything else! Oh and why did they move away from the Burbank Armory originally? Did Larry cut them a better deal from the get go?

The Young Bucks are the reason a lot of guys get booked since they wrestle alk over the place. Dragon and Excalibur rely heavily on them to book new guys for the shows.

Just out of interest considering they have one own one of the most renowned and loved indy organizations of this era, how do you even have time to do anything else! Oh and why did they move away from the Burbank Armory originally? Did Larry cut them a better deal from the get go? Obviously this isn't confirmed or anything, but word on the street is that the Bucks have been a part of the booking committee since 2010. They originally replaced Top Gun Talwar and Disco Machine as part of the PWG 6(Joey, Excalibur, Supes, Scott Lost, and them) booking team. Scott obviously retired at EIGHT and they've been 5 maybe 6(I've also heard that Steen and Generico may have had some booking pull, but I doubt it) since then. They got into that circle real fast considering they became fast and really good friends with the booking team due to the other guys still working local indies and PWG when the Bucks debuted in PWG in 2008. As far as I know(Excalibur confirmed it on his AOW episode and I've heard that Super Dragon does the same thing as well), booth Excalibur and Super Dragon are graphic designers. That's as much as I know. Well, they started at Frank and Sons in late 2003 then the moved to the Los Feliz Jewish Community Center aka the Original Sweatbox at some point in 2004 then they kept moving around between there, La Habra Heights, and Van Nuys in 2006 and early 2007. By the end of 2006, the JCC was no more(It became a gymastics gymnasium) and by mid-2007 they were firmly booking shows at the Van Nuys armory with the higher attendance shows like the anniversary show, BOLA,etc) at the Burbank armory. The one exception to this was BOLA 2006 at the Legion Hall(I don't know if Larry was running the place yet, but I imagine he was). I know for a fact that it was 2009 when PWG seemingly permanently settled at the Legion Hall, post # 208 in godawful Reseda, CA. As for why they moved from those other places in the Valley? I would imagine Larry gave them a better deal, but I don't know for sure.

My brain went straight to a film noir scene in black and white with all 5 of them sitting around a poker table in a dark and smokey room, smoking cigars (even Super Dragon somehow...) racking their brains around original ways to book Chuck Taylor losing each month, and discussing how hungover they were that one time to let Best Friends win DDT. Also in between all this, the more plastered Excalibur gets the more he continues to shout and mutter "ARMDRAGG!" "ARRRGGGMDRAG, IM A PIRATE!" While the ghost of Disco Machine looks on approvingly from above him similar to that South Park episode with Edgar Allan Poe Meaanwhile, Bryan holds Cesaro in a headlock in one of the dark corners all night to the amusement and confusion of the booking team

I want to see the headlock match, yeah Excalibur said that Dragon was beyond pissed. It would've been awesome if he would've gone full Inoki mode and marched the ring screaming "Fake! f*** this bullshit!" And then slap Excalibur like Inoki slapped Chono
EDIT: f*** it I want to see Super Dragon explode with anger after the match and slap everyone at Reseda, the wrestlers, Legion Larry, men, women, children, like this...

Can't wait to see what the DVD covers look like. Also I really hope the LU contract that Ricochet has signed won't get in the way of his PWG dates

I would assume that it shouldn't really conflict too much with it, otherwise BOLA would have probably ended differently.

why is Steen flipping off a nun? Because he's KEVIN F***IN STEEN I guess Approve of the new thread subtitle and love Candice LeRae. Such a girl next door cute (and seems very kind/down to earth/cool as a person outside the ring in all I have seen of her in The Candice and Joey Show) babe. Definitely a worthy worthy member in my future wives list (I swear her and Jennifer Morrison are sisters) Can't wait to meet her when I eventually go live. I assume a few in this thread have already met her. Does she live up to expectations?

I agree dude, I wonder how soon is she going down to Florida, she lost ton of weight and looks awesome, it is said that VKM only uses girls that he thinks have pretty faces, also I think that fans would like to see her doing hurricaranas and high flying moves.

Can someone please explain the Bryan/CC headlock story? They had a match(I want to say around 2007?) where like 95% of the moves they did happened while holding each other in head-locks. Generico and Danielson also did much the same in a match(Was it their awesome match from Giant Sized Annual #4? I think it might have been) where they pretty much wrestled an almost 5 star match pretty much being stuck in a knuckle-lock the whole time. Anyways, I've met Candice a few times. Mainly just "Hey! How's it going?" type stuff before shows and at intermissions. I did have a conversation with her-albeit very brief-about 4 years ago at KRR thanks to my cousin who's an on-again/off-again wrestler in the So Cal scene. She's just as nice as everybody says she is. Complete sweetheart...which is why I boo her mercilessly whenever she wrestles(Someone has to, right?). No, I kid. She's definitely won me over. f*** Joey though(I say that jokingly. Joey's alright too.)
