In your opinion, what TV dads would you say were the best fathers?
I'm going with (in no order) Jason Seaver - Growing Pains Dan Conner - Roseanne Philip Banks - Fresh Prince Danny Tanner - Full House Heithcliff Huxtible - The Cosby Show Allan Matthews - Boy Meets World Tim Taylor - Home Improvement

Steven Keaton - Family Ties. He may frequently embarrass his kids with his ways but I've always thought he was cool.
Frank Spencer - Some Mothers do 'ave 'em. He may be accident-prone and annoying but he truly adores his wife and daughter and would do anything for them.
Walter White - Breaking Bad. A bad ass and is willing to break the law and kill, just to ensure his wife and kids are financially safe when he dies.
Pete Brockman - Outnumbered. Sarcastic, funny and put upon by everyone. When he cracks every now and again, I love it.

For all his faults, Hank Hill really is a good man doing his best for his family. He may be too conservative to be anything but baffled by Bobby's behavior, but he clearly loves him unconditionally nevertheless and would do anything for his boy.

Danny Williams (Hawaii Five-0) - Moved thousands of miles away from home after his ex wife remarried and took their daughter with her to Hawaii. Danny loves New Jersey and would love to go back but he loves his daughter more. To Danny, Hawaii is a pineapple infested hell hole but for two weekends a month with is daughter, it's worth it.

1- Mr Drummond from "Different Strokes". Took two poor kids and gave them a dream life. Always gave good advice and support.
2- Henry from "Punky Brewster". Like Drummond, he gave Punky a life she desperately needed. He needed her too, to bring meaning into his life.
3- Phillip Banks from "Fresh Prince". Worked his way up from nothing, built a successful career, and was always there for his own kids, and Will, who was virtually his son.

Akio Furukawa, from Clannad. Not only is he a ridiculously entertaining character, he's a fantastic father in a series that doesn't always have the greatest father figures.

- Dr. Thaddeus S. "Rusty" Venture If we are going to be off the rails, then I suggest both Van Hohenheim and Father (the former Dwarf in the Flask) from FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
