Zema with a Glorious Return... to the LaMonacos.
Which, by the way, anyone care to explain to me the origin of that meme?

Funny how more people use Vinny than Jeffrey as the name for stagehands/fans/techies/etc. Yeah... that really backfired on me. Hey, The Tank name drops me on a regular basis. I ain't mad.

Sorry to interrupt your pay per view, but I just gotta say, I've been reading most of it, and I just saw that promo from the guy with the dumb name...
...And It's Good.
Gotta say, TNA:FAN's looking pretty strong right now after what I've seen of tonight's show. Annoys me that the available pickings are so slim.

You could always take Rockstar Spud... but then you'll kill the running joke of Simon Diamond always getting his name wrong.

The two men lock up, Ion dropping down and tossing Ryan with an arm drag! Ryan charges back in only to get taken down with a second, almost recieving a third only to counter into one of his one, sending Ion sailing! He turns the tables with a second arm drag of his own. Both men charge in both thinking dropkick, but the moves miss as their feet collide. They land on their feet and start exchanging forearms back and forth, neither man gaining the advantage thus far.
Ion ducks a shot from Ryan and kicks him in the gut, whipping him off into the ropes and catches him as he comes back with a flying mare! As Ryan rolls to his feet Ion follows with a low dropkick to the face putting him on his back. He springs off the ropes, snapping off a somersault senton for good measure, driving the air out of his opponent. Ion makes the cover.
1!
2!
Ryan kicks out.
Ion with the first cover of the match. But it won't be the last.
Ion pulls him to his feet only to get a shoulder to the gut. Ryan starts nailing him with a series of European uppercuts, backing him into the corner. Ryan licks his palm seductively and starts chopping Ion across the chest again and again. Eventually Ion however catches him by the arm, reversing their positions and battering Ryan's own chest in answer! He whips him off to the other side and charge after only to get a pair of feet to the face, sending him stumbling back. Ryan climbs on the second turnbuckle and looks for a Tornado DDT, but Ion counters in mid-swing, bringing him back down and snapping him over with a Northern Lights Suplex!
1!
2!
But Ryan arches up, reversing their positioning and throwing Ion with a similar suplex of his own!
1!
2!
Ion breaks free.
Wow, some impressive flexibility by both the champion and his opponent here tonight!
The two men rise back to their feet, lunging in and locking up once more. Ryan clinches on a headlock, cranking on his opponent's neck. Zema however bounces off the ropes and throws Ryan off, catching him as he comes back with a dropkick! Ryan stumbles to his feet as Ion goes for a second, but Joey ducks, sending him crashing to the canvas. He then follows up with a dropkick of his own, taking Ion off-balance! Joey whips him off the ropes and comes off the other side, snapping off a headscissors and sending him flying into the bottom rope! He then springs off the ropes and leaps high in the air, landing across Ion's back! Zema archs in pain, flopping back as Ryan covers.
1!
2!
Ion kicks out. Joey springs off the ropes without delay, sliding in for a low dropkick to the side of the head sending Ion rolling. He grasps at his back as he comes off the ropes, charging in for a clothesline. But Ion ducks underneath it, taking him down with a falling neckbreaker instead! Ryan flops to the canvas, Ion rolling forward for a bridging pin.
1!
2!
Ryan arches up, turning the pin into a Backslide in retaliation!
1!
2!
Ion kicks free.
Another series of pins that end in deadlock. It's like these two are matching each other step by step.
Both men lay on the mat, taking a breather before returning to their feet. Ion starts unloading with a flurry of swift kicks to his opponent, staggering him back into the turnbuckle. He kicks him again and again before leaping up and nailing him with a spinning back heel kick to the face! He backs off into the corner, dropping down into the corner. He gets into a three-point stance, hikes off an invisible, and then sprints forward, squashing Ryan in the corner with a rolling senton! He drags him away from the turnbuckle, hooking the leg!
1!
2!
Ryan kicks out. Ion looks surprised at this. He backs away, looking for a kill shot as he charges in, sprinting forward and going for his finisher with a million different names, a leg lariat! Ryan however catches him and tosses him into the turnbuckle, sending him face-first into it! He then snaps back and hits him right between the eyes with a That 70's Kick! Ion flops back as Ryan quickly goes for the cover!
1!
2!
2.9!
Ion gets his foot on the bottom rope! Ryan looks on in disbelief at this. He drags him away from the ropes, attempting another pin.
1!
2!
Ion kicks out!
Ryan's haste may have cost him big time there!
Ryan shakes it off, rising to his feet and stamping the mat again and again. He waits for Ion to rise, lunging in with another that 70's Kick! But Ion rolls underneath, countering into a backstabber from behind! Ryan arches off the mat as Zema looks to the top turnbuckle. A grin spreading across his face, he climbs to the top turnbuckle and measures his opponent, leaping up and coming down with a... 630 Senton!
Ion pulling out a move that won many matches in his past career!
Ryan arches off the mat in pain, Zema grasping at his chest before hooking the leg.
1!
2!
2.9!
Ryan somehow gets the shoulder up. Ion holds his head in shock, looking down at his opponent.
Wow! Ryan kicking out of a 630! How did he manage that?!
Ion looks to his fallen opponent, positioning him in the corner facing away from him. He then grows serious, charging full speed and looking for a pair of double knees! Ryan however moves out of the way, rolling up onto the top turnbuckle as Ion lands on the second rung! Ryan grabs him, looking for a Sunset Bomb, but Ion counters, managing to throw him over his back with a back body drop! He then climbs to the top turnbuckle.
What a counter! Zema just avoided disaster and turned it all around on the champion! Damn you Ion... your traitor! You sold out!
Ryan stumbles to his feet, rising right into a top rope leg lariat! He goes down hard, Ion collapsing atop his opponent and hooking both legs.
1!
2!
3!
Here is your winner, Zema Ion!
Zema did it! He had a long time off, but despite that he's returned in style with a victory over the World Champion! And no doubt earned himself a ton of respect in the process.
After a minute or so Ryan and Ion both rise to their feet. The two men look at one another, nodding with approval and shaking hands once again. Ryan grabs Ion's arm and holds it high in the air as a sign of respect, the crowd cheering aloud.
Joey Ryan may be sleazy, but he respects talent. He's a class act in my book.
Ryan and Ion both stand in the middle of the ring continuing to bask in a standing ovation from the crowd... when suddenly Kenny King slides in from behind with a steel chair, smashing it across Ryan's back!
What the?! That's Kenny King! What in the Hell is he doing out here?!
Ion turns around just in time to get a chairshot as well sending him down in a heap. King smashes the weapon over both fallen men's backs again and again as the crowd boos. He doesn't seem to care as he lays the chair down, hefting Ion up first onto his shoulders then throwing him down atop the weapon with a Coronation!
Ion rolls off to the side, laying in a heap as King looks at the fallen Ryan. He then scoops him up as well and smirks, making the belt motion around his waist before bringing Ryan down with a second Coronation! The champion flops to the mat, the boos growing more angry with these actions. King looks down at the two fallen men and grabs a microphone from Christy Hemme, who quickly flees the ring. King then unfolds the chair and sits down in the middle of the ring, proceeding to speak.
Pardon the interruption but I've had a lot of stuff on my chest for a while now and I simply can't wait any longer. If this company doesn't want to hear me out under more relaxed circumstances, perhaps they'll listen to me when I create a bit of drama. What's the matter? You people usually love chaos. The TNA fans love nothing more than a surprise, don't they? Not so nice when it effects your golden boys though, is it?
You see TNA once gave me a surprise and I just figured I would return the favor. Back in 2005, I managed to create a bit of buzz for myself. TNA had seen some of my matches and they liked what they saw so they signed me to a contract. All be it developmental but they let be wrestle on a few Impacts, show the world what I had to offer. I may not have been as experienced as I am today but I loved it all the same. Until I get a call one morning. It's from TNA upper management. They thank me for what I've contributed but they were going to have to release me from my contract. They called it a cost cutting measure. Quite a few of us got released around that time actually and I'm sure it's just coincidence that Kurt Angle was signed to a TNA contract less than a month later.
For years, I was forced to work the independent scene, all the while keeping a close eye on TNA. I saw guys like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels put on five star matches but the focus wasn't on them. It was on guys like Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, Christian Cage, Sting, Scott Steiner, Team 3D, Kevin Nash, Booker T and believe me, that's just the tip of the iceberg. I get it though. They all had something they could apparently bring to the product. Unfortunately though, the powers that be were wrong. You know who added something to this product? Guys like AJ Styles, Brutus Magnus, even Petey Williams. Guys I'm not supposed to mention like Jay Lethal and D'Angelo Dinero. You look at the most recent main eventers, Eric Young, Alex Shelley, Joey Ryan. Do they matter to TNA? Hell no. They're not "superstars", they're not "household names", they should be back in the X Division. Well forgive us for wanting to be professional wrestlers! Forgive us for making this place worth a damn. Forgive us for wanting to be World Champion so we can be the face of the company we built.
No, no, don't you people start cheering that. You people are fickle, you are mindless sheep who watch this product because you want an alternative but you're too lazy to demand change. It doesn't matter how many times I bust my ass in this ring for you, you don't care. As far as you people are concerned, I'm replaceable. I got here on my own accord. Don't you people dare take credit for any of this.
What? Now you're chanting "Rhett Titus"? You think that's nothing I haven't heard before? Last year, I met Eric Bischoff for the first time. He told me he wanted to breathe new life into TNA. He told me he was a changed man. He said he saw potential in me and that if I were to sign with TNA, I could go as far as I wanted to. The very first words out of my mouth were whether Rhett was getting the same offer. Eric told me no. Rhett was deemed good but I was deemed better. I spent weeks debating my decision, I talked to Rhett on numerous occasions. The man is one of my best friends and you people think I stabbed in the back. Rhett told me to go to TNA, it's what made most sense. It's not my fault that Ring of Honor couldn't offer me the same deal. What was I supposed to do? Turn down the money? Turn down a slot on weekly television, say no thanks, being on PPV each month doesn't appeal to me? I did what any one of you would have done in the same situation.
Thing is though, when I came to TNA, almost nobody was willing to listen to my side of the story. There are people in the back who thought I was scum, they probably still do. There were people who had the gall to look me in the eye and say they'd never turn their back on a friend. One guy even said to me "you don't deserve to be here, brother". That locker room is full of people who play politics, people who will step over you in order to get to the top but I find a loophole that lets me come to TNA and I'm the one who doesn't deserve to be here?
There's one guy who believed in me. One guy who gave me the benefit of the doubt and he's sat right there at the announcer's table. So thank you Simon Diamond. Without you, this company never would have booked me against Kurt Angle and when I beat Kurt in the middle of this ring, they couldn't admit they were wrong.
Right then and there, I knew I had what it took to be the TNA World Heavyweight Champion but Easy E says why don't you try your luck in the X Division? Fair enough, I get it, I gotta earn my stripes just like everybody else. Of course when Joey Ryan came into this company, he got a match with the World Champion right off the bat but who am I to argue? Week in and week out, Zema Ion and I would push each other to our limits and you know what happened at the end of it? I won. I was the better man and I put Zema Ion on the injured shelf, where quite frankly he should have stayed. For months, I dominated the X Division. Whether it was Christian York or Austin Aries, whether it was No Holds Barred or Six Sides of Steel, nobody could touch me.
So you'd think that when the Bound for Glory series rolls around, I would be awarded for my efforts. Nuh uh. Sorry King, you're the X Division Champion, there's no way we can have you in the series, it wouldn't be fair. Since when was being a title holder a bad thing? Is this not the same company that tried to unify the World and X Division Championships not so long ago? Sting, Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson don't need any more main events. Phil Shatter, KCW, Austin Aries, James Storm, not a single one of them could tie my boots. Most insulting of all, they give a spot to Harold. WHO THE HELL IS HAROLD?! I don't get to be in the main event of our biggest show of the year but Harold might be? That is an insult not only to me but to every other guy in this company who didn't get to be apart of the series either.
Just when it seems like things can't get any more stupid around here, TNA undermine the whole series anyway and say that if you're top at the end of the month, you get a title shot. Last time I checked, it wasn't the Slammiversary series. It wasn't the Hardcore Justice series. It certainly wasn't the random episode of Impact series. So not only is over eighty per cent of the roster cut off from a world title shot at Bound for Glory, then they get cut off for three months before hand to.
It seems like Joey Ryan wasn't too happy about that either. Joey issued an open challenge for tonight and I would have been happy to accept but I've been a little busy as of late with Petey Williams or whatever tag team combination with Joe and Mercer we were supposed to do each week.
Zema Ion.
Zema Ion hasn't been in this company for over three months, his first night back and he gets the shot against Joey Ryan? I'm the one who took out Zema in the first place, how do you think that makes me feel? I can't get a world title shot until at least November because I've been involved in the X Division Championship picture but Zema Ion who has done nothing jumps the line in front of me. I don't think so.
I told Eric Bischoff I wouldn't go to war with him, he's got enough on his plate as it is. However, that doesn't stop me from going to war with Joey Ryan, it doesn't stop me from going to war with Zema Ion and it doesn't stop me going to war with anyone in that Bound for Glory series who thinks they deserve a world title shot before me. Until I do get my shot, I'm going to keep interrupting matches, I'm going to keep speaking my mind and I am going to make life a living hell for anyone who gets in my way.
Eric Bischoff, if you've got any...
As King speaks the PPV feed suddenly cuts to black.

Thanks to Spartan, Waffel, Hayden, Karmic, M, MikeyP, CH Punk, Jono, Macman, Fake Jesus, Lodi, and all the rest for voting, promoing, and such.
Special thanks to Waffel, Karmic, and Macman for helping with finishes, CH for his amazing graphics, and M for his usual Knockouts stuff.
Congrats to M on the title win!
Looming cuts will be posted later tonight. Gonna go take a walk first. But I will say that may have been my favorite TNA show to run so far just because of how eventful it was. Excellent job to everybody involved. Awesome to see our plans coming together.
And before anybody asks I had no idea Spartan was going to cut the Pipebomb with Punk this week. This was planned weeks in advance.

I remember that there was a lot of discussion about what a pipebomb would look like in WWE/TNA FAN and that promo was perfect. It broke the fourth wall without breaking our fourth wall. I give the promo a 10. {Spoiler}Out of 5. EDIT: That's not a slight on Punk's Pipebomb as I haven't read Smackdown... yet

Yeah, the shows that have a lot of big things happening are always the most fun. That's why I enjoyed Catalyst and SummerSlam so much.

IMPACTWRESTLING.COM EXCLUSIVE THE WEEK IN IMPACT WRESTLING By Zachariah Waffelson
This will be the first of a weekly series of articles on the week that was in Impact wrestling, with five points of interest put under the microscope, so without further ado, let's get started!
A Hardcore Pipebomb
Hardcore Justice just wrapped up moments ago, and what a spectacular Main Event it was! Zema Ion, for the first time in three months, wrestled against World Champion Joey Ryan and won, earning an opportunity at the World Championship at Bound For Glory. However, the night wasn't over. Far from it in fact. Mere moments after Ion had his moment of glory, Kenny King blindsided both him and Ryan with a vicious steel chair attack and a Coronation for each! King got his hands on a mic and went ballistic on several points, including his former All-Night Express partner Rhett Titus, Impact General Manager Eric Bischoff, the Bound for Glory Series, and several other hot topics before having his microphone cut off. Whatever King's aims were, he had one clear point; Kenny King will not stop with the chaos he's started until he gets his shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.
Other Notes from Hardcore Justice
-The Bound for Glory Series continues to heat up, as both Mr. Anderson and Austin Aries scored huge wins tonight. Aries made Aces and Eights leader James Storm tap out to the Horn of Aries, while Mr. Anderson pinned Kurt Angle after the Green Bay Plunge. This moves Mr. Anderson into sole possession of first place with 27 points, and Austin Aries catapults into a tie for third with Phil Shatter with 24 points each. The current standings are as follows:
1st Place: Mr. Anderson (27 Points) Tie for 2nd: Sting and Harold (26 Points) Tie for 3rd: Phil "Gunner" Shatter and Austin Aries (24 Points) 4th Place: KCW (21 Points) 5th Place: Kurt Angle (7 points) 6th Place: James Storm (0 Points)
With these scores, Angle and Storm are mathematically eliminated from contention. With five men still in the hunt and only four spots at Victory Road, the series is still anyone's to win! Other results: X-Division Champion Petey Williams defeated Kenny King to retain in a Falls Count Anywhere Match Legends Champion Tommy "Crimson" Mercer defeated Samoa Joe to win the first match in a Best of Five Series Rosita won a #1 Contender's Match to the Women's Championship and will have a title shot on Impact The Psycho Circus defeated Jersey Shore Shark Attack to retain the TNA Tag Team Championships Gail Kim defeated Women's Champion Hamada and Brooke Adams to win the Women's Championship Garret Bischoff defeated Magnus in a No Holds Barred Match (More on this later.)
With Hardcore Justice out of the way, let's have a look at other points of interest in TNA today!
Whither The Alex Shelley Experience?
The man formerly known as Alex Shelley has been uncharacteristically silent ever since he explained his actions two weeks after his vicious assault on former partner Chris Sabin. Both men have had little to say since then, but one thinks that they'll break their silences sooner or later.
Jeff Hardy's Spiritual Journey
Ever since his speech on Impact some three weeks before Hardcore Justice, Jeff Hardy has been showing the Impact Zone a series of increasingly bizarre videos chronicling his journeys across the United States, and presumably the world, while delivering his philosophies on wrestling and life. Is there a method to Hardy's madness? Or is this just yet another strange trip into the mind of the Charismatic Enigma?
Can Anyone Stop the Circus?
Let's face facts. The Psycho Circus is invincible. The Tag Team Champions of Eric Young and Matt Morgan retained in convincing fashion tonight and Garret Bischoff stunned Magnus in a No Holds Barred Match with the help of a mysterious man in the audience and the Icon and Ringleader, Sting. Very few people have dealt a blow to the Circus since their rechristening before Slammiversary, and it seems like there's no stopping them. Will anyone step up and send out the clowns for good, or will they have the last laugh? Only time will tell.
Well that's all until next week. Until then, keep calm and watch Impact!
