ok... with some of the designs they showed... I fully expect Capcom to send a cease and desist if they show up anywhere near what they do in a finished product because many of them are damn near identical to MM characters.
Yes, I am aware he is a codesigner of Megaman... but still.

Going by a lot of the info on it, it seems like it will come off more than just looking like a clone of the Mega Man series, and does seem to want to implement a lot of fresh new ideas.
I'd say the designs are still an early draft pretty much, so I doubt the final product will have as much familiarity to the Mega Man franchise.

As a massive fan of the Megaman franchise and all of it's off-shoots...
...This is f***ing beautiful, man. I've already donated some money to the cause.
I can't freakin' wait for this!

At least Capcom USA seems to have common sense, but its utter bullcrap how we still won't see Mega Man Legends 3 just because Capcom Japan has to make a stupid, petty little point. Hopefully this does well.

Really looking forward to the finished product. I'm sure it'll (easily) meet its goal by the end of the week at latest. Hope it continues to get funding so it can meet any stretch goals it has.
Love everyone who's working on it. It's not just Keiji Inafune, but the original composer for the series music is on board. IntiCreates (studio that developed the Megaman Zero and ZX series as well as MM9 and 10) is also on board, too.

Beyond wanting Inafune to succeed and really have a wonderful comeback story, I admit, there's a petty side of me that wants this to succeed too so that it'll put that much more egg on Capcom's face. Not only for their treatment of him but also for their treatment of a beloved franchise. |

Saw this last night, looks promising although this project reminds me a little of the "Lisa vs Malibu Stacey" episode of the Simpsons. I guess Capcom's response will be to release a Mega Man game with a new DLC hat. Keiji Inafune: Wait Gamers! Don't be fooled, it's still the same souless, derivative Mega Man game it's always been. Gamer: But he's got a new hat...that you can download...in six weeks...for only five dollars.  |
