Big Show at Taco Bell: "Sorry sir, we're out of Cool Ranch Doritos Tacos."
"But you don't understand, I want a Cool Ranch Taco."
"Sorry sir."
"sniffle...WAAAAAH.."

Big Show is the best big man performer in the modern era. But do we really need a "hoss who can act?" for this angle. I'd rather see a younger guy who needs the rub as Bryan's back up over someone whose obviously only in the storyline because he "needs to be kept busy". Well no one will take someone like Ryder seriously in this role. This reason this works is because Big Show is clearly so strong that he can fight off the cooperation by himself but he can't due to his job security. They are building up the suspense of Show rebelling. It's really a niche role and Big Show pulls it off the best. I'd love Ryder to be part of this angle, but I'm not talking about making him "important" the way that Big Show is. That should be reserved for either Dolph, Miz, or Cody. Bur Ryder could still have a place as someone else who gets beaten up or speaks out against the Corporation. If you throw a low card guys in the angle, they can take the beatings instead of Bryan getting gang raped every week. And Bryan can look like the hero by trying to save THEM. Big Show is just chewing the scenery and stealing the spotlight. He should be a heel. There have been too many face turns, and the face side is now so bogged down that no one who isn't a former World Champion is really getting the chance to step up whether it be as part of this storyline or not.

That ironclad contract is gonna be voided; even though that really doesn't make that much sense.

This whole bit of the story would be better with Kane instead. And also less crying. I don't think they could black mail him though. Triple H: "Kane-uh... choke slam Daniel Bryan now or your-uh FIRED!!!" Kane: HA HA HA HA, then I'll hide in the locker room and torture any one unfortunate enough to cross my path! Stephanie: Kane, think about your family, please? Kane: .... I left my brother in a vegetative state once. Why.... why do you ask why? HAHAHAHA!!! Vince: Now, Kane, consider the MON-AY! I'll fire you and you'll be out on the street! Kane:.... I'll live in the woods. I'll break into Paul's old funeral parlor. I'll survive and the blood will be on your hands! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

They're in a catch 22 with this angle with a lot of the babyfaces they could use.
Show's got the presence to make the crowd want him to attack the Corporation but has has such clear problems with Bryan and was a heel so recently it seems off.
Miz could fit given the history between him and Bryan and the idea that Miz has grown to realize he was wrong about his old NXT protege and respects him now, but the former has mixed crowd support at best.
Punk has a history with Bryan but would never cooperate with the McMahons and has his own angle.
Honestly Cody or Ziggler could potentially have worked, but who knows?

Shoulda been Kane in this storyline not Show. It would have made 10,000% more sense. Show should still harbor resentment against Bryan for what he did in late 2011.

The WWE wanted a main event black guy so why not put Big E Langston in Big Show's position

Daniel Bryan's fans better hope Big Show's important to this angle, because whoever's challenging Orton for the next few months is just going to be fed to him as a filler feud anyway.
And at the moment, the only guys credible enough to be used as Orton food are Bryan/Big Show/Punk, and I think all of us can agree which of those three is the most expendable.

That ironclad contract is gonna be voided; even though that really doesn't make that much sense. It really doesn't. Since Big Show still seems to have an iron-clad contract from HHH mentioning it, why did he even have to obey? If you think about it, if the idea of an iron-clad contract means Show would just sit at home and still get paid, wouldn't he be okay with that? Getting paid to stay at home and be with his family while his contract runs out? I just... I dunno. Not saying it's awful by any means, but I don't get Big Show being involved.

Bah, gotta get the odds back on Bryan's side, and now the Corporation has messed with three people other than him, Show, Ziggler and Cody. Bryan's Survivor Series team getting built up that's all.

I mean Big Show really is the best fit for this role. I mean the face side there isn't a lot of available Hosses who can act. Big Show is the best big man performer in the modern era. But do we really need a "hoss who can act?" for this angle. I'd rather see a younger guy who needs the rub as Bryan's back up over someone whose obviously only in the storyline because he "needs to be kept busy". Someone like Alex Riley maybe?

Suddenly, the most important thing in this story is that wrestlers are bad at managing money and will degrade their morals to avoid having to do something horrible like find another job.
So, you know, more realism stuff.

To be honest, yes. Not because A-Ry's my guy and I want him to be pushed, but because he can get a rub without stealing Bryan's thunder. And while I do think he deserves a push, I can admit that he has absolutely no chance at outshining Bryan and taking the spotlight. Even if WWE did use Alex Riley in this angle, they wouldnt' put him front and center the way they are with Big Show. Let Riley be Bryan's "little buddy" so that Bryan can look like the hero for once. You look at Riley, then you see a kindred spirit who has also been held down by the company who admires Bryan as a hero. You use Big Show, it just looks like Bryan needs someone to hold his hand, as I've said before.

You know who could be a great little buddy for Bryan? AJ. Maybe babyface Bryan would feel bad for mistreating her back then and rush to her aid.

It's like, Jerry, how is him being young a DETRIMENT to him finding other employment?

Like, if Bryan's supposed to be the hero of the story, he should be a guy that other guys are looking up to, not the damsel in distress who needs a bigger hero to save him.* Not just bigger in terms of size, but bigger in terms of legacy and status among fans.

The more this thread goes on, the more I'm convinced David Otunga will soon be sueing WWE Corporate on behalf of Big Show and Cody Rhodes for (respectively) Breach of Ironclad Contract and Wrongful Termination. Something's gonna get the Survivor Series team together, maybe throw in Crazy Conspiracy R-Truth again since HHH is actually an evil megalomaniac now who is really out to get the WWE Superstars.
