This was the series that came out after Batman: The Animated Series. What did everyone think? IMO, there were some excellent episodes (Over the Edge, Mad Love, Joker's Millions) but also some awful ones (Critters, that Roxy Rocket episode).

Loved the new look. The Mr. Freeze ep is one of my favs from the entire series.

A lot of the designs were great, but some, like Riddler and Mad Hatter, were steps back.

It's not as bad as I like to remember. In fact, there are several really good to great ones. I think Scarecrow is the only good redesign, mostly because it's actually memorable this time. The others either were similar to BTAS or got worse.

Growing Pains was my favorite episode of that series.

All that really needs to be said for this series.

Jeffrey Combs Scarecrow with a noose around his neck........ That is all. Ok, not really. I recall at the time not liking that they were redoing everyone's look. In retrospect, it's tough to watch older episodes with the Joker and Penguin and Catwoman, beacuse their newer looks (and the animation on a while) were so much better. It's an excellent reboot of the universe without really being a reboot at all. Also, Jeffrey Combs Scarecrow with a noose around his neck. This beats your silly cartoon by a mile. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

The most controversial redesign was of course the Joker: TAS ![](http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100928165526/batman/images/9/92/JokerMHBTAS.jpg) New Batman Adventures: ![](http://s3.amazonaws.com/quotefully_production/photos/character/7dc81bd098bb11e0907c12313b10052d_small) I don't hate this design. As Bradley said, there are some other redesigns that were much worse. It's not my favorite Joker design, that would go to the design from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. ![](http://www.markhamill.com/images/bbrotjpo.jpg) Sort of a hybrid between the two.

I loved Tim Drake and thought he was a great addition (then again, Tim is one of my favorite comic characters anyway)
HATED the redesigns for Riddler and Bane. Bane looked like he was wearing a gimp suit with that stupid zipper mouth, and Riddler's original suit outfit was really cool and made him look so smug. His completely bald "Frank Gorshin" look was just stupid looking. However, sadly, neither was in enough episodes.
Didn't like what they did to Mr. Freeze. He really shouldn't have found a cure for his wife in the movie, and making him a head was stupid as hell.
Batgirl was great, loved her look a little better than in the original series.
Catwoman was kinda mixed...I liked her original grey and more realistic look better than her black vampire look, but it wasn't a horrible look.
Didn't care for Joker's look. It just seemed like they went with less detail overall in all the characters and in Joker it was the worst.
LOVED Penguin returning back to his old look, as well as the revamp for the Scarecrow. Thought Penguin's henchwomen were kinda hot. Wish he'd been more prominent in the show as a bad guy.
The Scarecrow, Clayface (little girl episode), and Ventriloquist episodes were all extremely strong and good. Enjoyed the Two-Face episode with the Judge. Thought that was a very strong story.
Batman's black and grey revamp wasn't really my taste and I hate every time they ditch the yellow shield around his bat symbol. I hated that he did his Batman voice even while being Bruce Wayne. His overall "I'm a badass" attitude wasn't my cup of tea either. In the previous seasons he just seemed much nicer and was a much better team player too.
Overall, the season wasn't the best but wasn't the worst either.

I've always been in the minority, but always hated just about everything with TNBA. Including the Scarecrows redesign. Plus I always felt the story quality in general took a hit after the relaunch. There were a great episodes here and there, but everything just kinda lost that realistic edge that made BTAS great. You know, the way BTAS felt like what you were watching could almost kinda happen in real life, while TNBA felt like straight up fantasy.

I liked it at the time but in retrospect most of the redesigns were terrible. Penguin and to a lesser extent Catwoman were the only improvements. Bane and Killer Croc were terrible. Most of the episodes weren't as good either.

I still enjoy it when I watch it. Yeah, it had a few weird or bad episodes (the one with Mr. Freeze "Cold Comfort" was not needed), but only handful really. And I'll admit I didn't care for certain characters like the Riddler and Montoya being demoted to background characters, and a number of the designs such as the Joker were ugly.
But Over the Edge, Mad Love, and Legends of the Dark Knight were all instant classic episodes that hold their own with the best episodes from other seasons. Most of the rest of it was either very fun, or good with some even serving as a good sendoff for some of Batman's Rougue's Gallery.

A lot of bad redesigns, "Tim Drake" really just being Jason Todd, damn near every episode had Batman working with a sidekick, and too much Batgirl really kill the show for me. There were a handful of good episodes like "Old Wounds", "Never Fear", "Growing Pains", "Over the Edge", and "Legends of the Dark Knight", but the rest was pretty mediocre. It just feels like a soulless version of Batman the Animated Series.

They use that last design in the Justice League series too, and yeah, it's by far the best design of an animated Joker we've ever seen. The perfect blend of so many of his looks, including the two previous designs.

Critters is a fantastic episode, how f***ing creepy is that talking goat! Yeah, it wasn't that bad...I have a feeling if Farmer Brown was debuted in Brave and the Bold, he'd be a cult hero like Music Meister. As for this season in general, I pretty much have the same feelings as most people: some good eps, but the character changes were jarring. Too much minty green skin, too much red skies. Batman and Joker were much improved by the time JL came along.

I liked the original series better, and I hated "Over The Edge" then, and still do now.
The games were pretty good, though.
