And I came across an old advertisement for a subscription to WWF magazine. These comics were from 1996 and I ordered them off eBay, but the advertisement cracks me up because it just shows how dated these comics are. The WWF logo was the New Generation logo, by the way. There's even an advertisement for a game called "D" that was released for Sega Saturn and PS1.
Now that I think about it, do you remember how some magazines or CD booklets used to contain a mail-in slip to fill out if you wanted to subscribe or order a T-shirt? I sometimes wonder why CDs that are still in print continue to have the same slips in the booklet when it's likely that the merchandise is long out of print. Maybe the manufacturer or record companies got lazy or something? I don't know.
Just a funny thing. Not to mention that these comics are in tip-top condition when I got them.

OK I am feeling old when you refer to comics from 1996 as "old comics".

Advertisements are the best part of old comic books.

Advertisements are the best part of old comic books. Its really weird though, especially with "dark age" comic books. You'll go from a picture of punisher holding a gun to some drug dealer's head to an ad like this:

I remember that I had a reprint of one of the early Spider-Man's when I was a kid, and they always had the Charles Atlas workout regimen and X-Ray specs that you could order.
