FANS GETTING PPV REFUNDS DUE TO THE FINISH AT NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS

An Elite member wrote me to tell me that he called Cox Cable and asked for a refund due to the finish of the Night Of Champions PPV being overturned. He said that Cox eventually gave him and the representative told him that other people had asked for a refund for the same reason.

Cox is my cable company as well so I called my representative and was told that indeed other people have already called and gotten refunds, feeling that by invalidating the finish of the show that they paid for, they deserved it. This could become a slippery slope for wrestling companies.

Oy vey. This is something I'd expect of a stereotypical mark, not of someone who's clearly smarky enough to be an elite member, but yeah, this could get interesting if this takes off...

I remember watching the Tyson/Holyfield match where Tyson bit Evander's ear off and my grandfather tried to get a refund and was basically laughed at. This is a curious development that a scripted form of entertainment can warrant refunds for a reversed finish.

This isn't just a slippery slope for wrestling, it's a slippery slope for everything. Don't like how a plot twist in a movie or television show negates something before it, demand money. People who went to the 2005 Orange Bowl between USC and Oklahoma, demand your money back since USC was stripped of the title.

The WWE title is supposed to be The Super Bowl trophy of the WWE, if you paid money to watch the SB on TV and saw one team win, and then it suddenly did not count, would you be happy?

If Triple H is the one booking this feud, I expect him to get a lot of heat over it. PPV's are pure revenue, and they just lost a good chunk of that, due to bad booking
