They butchered everythign what TMNT IS about.
Gun? Giant-Ass Explosion? Falling buildings? Army dudes everywhere,rocket launcher? Trying to o "gritty"?Crappy Stereotype design(Just stamp SURFER DUDE on Mike forehead and NERD on Donny)? Complete butcher of what it is all about.
BUT to be fair,at least it looks like they got the characters OF THE TURTLES pretty well.They also looked to have some good humor.(and i enjoyed they poking fun at "Alien" Turtles)

Looks more like a film about Edward Scissorhands going nuts, and attacking green aliens. A giant rat, and a porn star are featured as well.

Regarding the Liefield comment about Shredder's design, you hit it right on the head. This is pretty much shaping up to be a spoof of the '90s, whether they intended it or not. EXTREME SPIKY Shred Head, and the Turtles' outfits are right out of a '90s new toy gimmick. I wonder if any characters' outfits have any pouches that I might have not noticed? What's the over/under that this disappoints more than The Last Airbender (Nick movie adaption-wise)? |

Just saw the new trailer. At least Shredder isn't the white guy.
The turtles are still too big, but it looks like the 80s animated series version of what a TMNT movie would be like. Big, dumb, corny action flick with lame jokes and bad characterization.
Also, if Megan Fox weren't in it, it would easily be 95% more watchable.
