Watched the Osaka show today, well skipped the first few matches until the Jr Tag match which I thought was really great and enjoyed the rest of the show. Kenny is just so great, I love him. Also I really want to see a main event title match some day (and it may have happened already, with me not being too familiar with the history of NJPW, just enjoying it as it comes now) of Okada vs Nakamura for the IWGP title, Tanahashi and Styles are both great in ring but the atmosphere with Okada and Nakamura at a Wrestlekingdom or something would be f***ing incredible, I know currently they are stable mates but hopefully some day. Im kind of pissed that Okada's big reign was before I started getting into this, like someone said on here before I could watch Okaka-Tanahashi main events for 100 years. But Im happy waiting for him (Okada) to work his way back up, there was some things he did in the last match I saw him on the Axs show that made me really be like "yep, this guy 'gets' it and he's f***ing awesome", like there was something he did to cheat on the outside and the ref was getting him back to the ring and Okada's expression and actions of like "yes ref, Im getting back in the ring, sorry" and underplaying how dickish he just was was just so heelish and great, I loved it. I honestly don't get why they haven't had the seemingly write itself story of Nakamura vs. Okada simply because CHAOS was Naka's group. Why isn't he pissed at Okada. But then again their refusal to push Naka on the same level as Okada and Tana has been baffling for years so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Then again, Nakamura IS pushed on their level. HE made the Intercontinental Title roughly on par with the IWGP Heavyweight title. If New Japan wants, they can basically put both belts with Nakamura and nobody would bat an eye. As for Nakamura not being mad at Okada... well, why should he? He said he was going to make the Intercontinental title the main title of the company, so anybody else can go after the Heavyweight one. In fact, one big part of Nakamura's character is that he just "doesn't care". He doesn't care who his opponent is. He doesn't care where he is. He doesn't care about conventions. He doesn't care if there's one or a million fans in the audience. Although you could see that better before he became the King of Swag Style, the way he starts each and every match is his way of saying "I don't care who you are, I'm going to do my thing and that's that".

They made a pretty big deal about Okada/Nakamura wrestling in the finals of last year's G1. I'm sure something bigger will happen between them sooner or later. NJPW isn't WWE or TNA, they don't burn through potential money making feuds as quickly as possible.

From what I'm hearing, Honma and Ishii had themselves a MOTYC with some giving it 5 stars and saying it was better than Nakamura/Ibushi and Okada/Tanahashi. It was a classic I cringed when honma hit that rikishi driver on Ishii i thought he broke his neck Good thing Ishii doesn't have a neck or it would had been dangerous. Honma should had won though. Keep jerking him around, New Japan winds up with another Naito situation.

That loud mouthed shcnook is known as Bruce Tharpe, the current President of The NWA. Think Dixie Carter, but about 5% smarter than her. New Japan tolerates him like you would obnoxious inlaws New Japan keeps him and the NWA around because they are marks for the NWA legacy like a lot of puroresu promotions. Bruce is happy to give them the belts here and there because he gets to play the evil gaijin on their shows like he loves which he writes it off as business trips and NJPW gives their elder statesmen more career accolades. hes the President? hes like the worst heel manager ever hes so embarrassing

I love Bruce Tharpe. He's like the only good thing about the NWA guys they bring in. He's so over the top and funny. There's no way I can hate this:

I'm becoming a huge fan of Tama Tonga. I would love to see him get a shot at Ishii or Makabe if he gets the belt back. A singles push would be awesome defiantly want to see more of him in singles action. I think this year along with Honma and maybe HASHI, Tonga starts to break away from the JTTS role he's in. He's already in a tag team with Fale with their own finisher The Dawn Raid referencing his air force background

Honma and Ishii had a very, very solid match, but I felt it got a little too i strike you strike, at times. Great match, but there were a few times I thought my computer had a repeating glitch or something. Honma kills it with dat head-but though. But this guy.... Him and Nagata had a damn fine match. I was locked in from bell to bell.

Just watched the Honma Vs Ishi match thats being raved about , idk if I can put it above the classic that is Ibushi Vs Nakamura but it is definetly up there.
Honma is something special that crowd just cannot wait for him to hit that kokeshi headbutt and I can understand why , Honma just has this aura that no matter what you just want to see him win.

Come on Honma win it and go onto literally tear the universe apart by taking the title off of Nakamura , if there is one person I would be all for taking the belt off of Nakamura it is the master of the kokeshi headbutt or as I like to call him Japanese Hogan.

So... my suspicion about Ibushi/Naito going for the tag titles are true, then.

I'm still going with Ibushi winning and challenging Nakamura at Invasion.

After the end of the WrestleKingdom match I want Okada to win, challenge Nakamura for the IC and beat him. Like, his confidence got rocked after not winning and he wants to prove himself before challenging Tanahashi again.

I'd like Shibata, HASHI, or Yano(nope, lolTanaWins) to win, because those 3 are the characters I'm really interested in right now. If Shibata wins, I'd love to see him vs Nakamura, and the other two for the NEVER.

Hoping that Ibushi wins but he'd have to go over Tanahashi & Okada to do it. Not sure if they have as much faith in him to put him over like that, but I hope so. Plus they might be tempted to do a Tanahashi/Okada rematch so soon.
Goto/Shibata could be an interesting 2nd round match. There's a possibility of some intriguing match ups and I really don't know which way they'll go.
