{Spoiler}I’ve already said I’ll be sad if this doesn’t come to pass because the immediate aftermath of the battle supposedly shows us that the MCU isn’t necessarily finished with our favorite agents... {Spoiler}Well there is that persistent rumour of Chloe Bennett being tapped for the Inhumans and SWORD shows...

It’s being said if it happens, the Agents will come in as their backup towards the end of Season 1 and play a bigger part in Season 2.

I figure we'll know one way or another in a few months.

Just a theory for next week... {Spoiler}...since everyone’s stories will get wrapped up nicely this season...I think a non-batshit crazy version of Daisy’s mom saves her from Malick. It’ll give her the closure she never got with her. {Spoiler}

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}All the wacky time f***ery is gonna lead to the Agents being pushed into MCU 2023 for Endgame fun, isn't it? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Thats the prevalent rumor I’ve been hearing. The final season will be split into two halves. The Chronicoms story either ends at the end of the next episode or the one after with the Chronicoms supposedly winning and the Agents end up in an Earth ruled by them. That’s when the Endgame plot line of alternate timelines comes in and they’re forced to try and jump timelines and the end up in the MCU...just in time for Thanos to snap.
The second half deals with the fall out with the remaining agents trying to deal with the post-Snap world. The big rumor is that Kevin Feige gave them the green light to do what we’ve been wanting all along...use whatever Endgame footage from the big battle they need to let Ghost Rider bring a group of the characters to the big fight including Quake, Deathlok and Aero...but they’ve never said if any unpowered characters would fight.
I’ve already said I’ll be sad if this doesn’t come to pass because the immediate aftermath of the battle supposedly shows us that the MCU isn’t necessarily finished with our favorite agents... Sorry to disappoint you, but this all seems highly unlikely. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Besides the fact that Aero isn't even in the MCU (a big red flag), if anything the "immediate aftermath" of Endgame seemingly closes the chapter on Agent of SHIELD. Five years after the Snap, and SHIELD is basically just Nick Fury and Maria Hill. No Quake, no Fitz and/or Simmons, no Mack (despite being promoted to "Director" in Season 5).
Not to mention Season 6, which chronologically should take place in the immediate aftermath of Infinity War, completely ignores the Snap. I feel like that was Marvel Entertainment essentially moving SHIELD into its own pocket universe for its remainder.

Supposedly I was hearing Brenda Song would be introduced as Aero in the second half of the season but that plus the Infinity War/Endgame tie in rumors came from the same place. I like the idea, but I’m fully prepared for it to be a load of crap. I don’t think they stay in a separate timeline though.

{Spoiler}I do think there’ll be an Endgame tie-in, but nothing akin to the leaks posted. Something simple like having the Team show up in the final battle through newly shot footage and stock footage from the movie.

Honestly I think pretty much anything and everything is on the board for the second half of the season. The only thing confirmed period are that the monoliths serve some purpose from backstage photos. I’m still betting that there’s some sort of IW/EG tie in. Just because the timeline has been constantly screwed with over the last three seasons doesn’t mean they won’t find a way to give the fans what they want.

Just to throw it out there as well... {Spoiler}...that from the same “leaker” that FitzSimmons won’t be in the finale episode at all. Supposedly their storyline will be wrapped up before then.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Did the leaker mention anything about the lack of Fitz so far? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}They didn’t but I believe he has a series he was already signed up for before they knew they were getting two more seasons. I think the popular theory is that one of them had to stay behind to call the shots while watching over their daughter/Deke’s mom. Then again FitzSimmons and Enoch were gone for so long any number of scenarios could have occurred.
It would fit in with the idea that all of the characters stories will be wrapped up nicely by seasons end and would be a nice ending for Fitz, Simmons and Deke.
I had to do back and read the possible “spoilers” and I misread it. The supers from the series join the team to join the Endgame battle with supposedly Robbie taking them there. We’ll know for sure if there’s any validity to any of his stuff on this weeks episode “Adapt or Die”. It’s the episode he claims the Chronicoms win and the Agents end up on their version of Earth.

Also can’t remember if I threw it out there earlier but a prediction for this week... {Spoiler}Malick tries to copy Whitehall’s experiments on Quake but she and Souza are saved by some Inhumans including her mother. This allows her to get closure with her mom by meeting her before Whitehall caused her to go insane.

Also, they’re making a deal out of the Zephyr jumping and leaving two characters stranded in the 80’s.
So....what if the Zephyr literally only jumped days?

Way off on my prediction but damn did everything go to shit. Eh, who needs the Avengers? I’m just curious if we jump straight into the fire after this week. I can’t see their stay in the 80’s lasting two episodes and there’s no reason to visit the 90’s unless we’re headed to Captain Marvel territory.

Gotta say, I am loving the time appropriate genre shifts. Black-and-white noir for the 50s, 70s is classic procedural, and from the previews: {Spoiler}The 80s will be cheesy sci-fi action, complete with Chronicoms as Daleks and Coulson as Max Headroom.

Does anyone know if the 80’s Shield agents have comics counterparts? I’ve seen their names but scouring a list of comics Shield agents comes up with nothing.
