{Spoiler}Real SHIELD seems rather obsessive about their bid to take down Coulson, and haven't apparently done much else at all.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}What about Grant Ward and Agent 33, tho? I can't even begin to guess what Ward's angle is, but this reformed, selfless angle is giving me the creeps. Almost feels like John Garrett toward the end of Season 1. I got the same feeling.

I've got a theory that all this Thanos stuff is a big red herring and when Infinity War finally rolls around Ward is gonna be the real big bad wielding the stones. And it will be awesome. Also, {Spoiler}{Spoiler}So Coulson's SHIELD is working out of a pre-Korean War era base with a skeleton crew and has to steal an airplane. Meanwhile "The Real SHIELD" has a fully armed, fully staffed USS Flagg at their disposal. Seriously how do these guys have this kind of money and manpower when Coulson was forced to augment his team with mercenaries at the start of the season? And these guys are worried about Coulson causing issues? If these idiots had come to Coulson after Fury gave him the job and lent him a couple of their highly trained soldiers and maybe a tank or two situations like Izzy's death or Puerto Rico would've been completely avoided. Now these are the kind of people I could see being responsible for Victoria Hand getting her job.
I seriously do not like the reveal of the existence of this new organization. It just raises too many questions that have stupid answers.

I'm surprised theres not much talk on Tuesday's show. I thought that it was an excellent episode that answered a lot of questions. That and Hunter is starting to grow on me.

Can I just say that AoS dropped the ball by not letting Nick Blood use his real name for his character. Seriously that's a way better name then Hunter, hell if they felt it was cliche in anyway they could have just said that's the name he chooses to work as since he's a damn mercenary.

I'm kind of surprised Reader took Skye this early. I thought that would have made an excellent season finale.

I only just got around to watching it. I'd definitely rank it as one of the better episodes of what has been a consistently good season. I marked out a little for the "house that Banner built" line. In my mind that's the same cabin he was in at the end of Incredible Hulk. Hunter is the breakout character for me this season, following May in the first. I'm really looking forward to seeing him and Coulson going rogue over the next (hopefully) few episodes.

I really liked this weeks episode. The existence of "The Real SHIELD" still bugs me. They might come off as a bit more sympathetic if we got some info on what else they've been doing since they formed. Like, are they also running missions against HYDRA and stuff? Or have they just been sitting around wasting their time spying on Coulson?
Simmons taking down Bobbi was awesome. A lot of people are speculating that she's gonna switch sides but I really hope not because that scene alone made me a fan of hers.
Mack trying to talk Fitz out of disconnecting that flash drive that he hooked up to SHIELD's computer reminded me a lot of what Ward was saying to Fitz and Simmons right before he tossed them out of the plane in the season one. I guess that was intentional. I imagine Fitz is gonna start developing a lot of trust issues.
When May showed up out of the shadows in the grating after Gonzalez, Weaver and Calderon had their conversation I half expected the Terminator theme to kick in.
Two episodes left, very curious to see how this wraps up.

I think the quietness comes with actual contentment with the show. Absolutely loved Season 2 in general so far, and things keep getting better.

Wikipedia doesn't have anything listed after episode 39 ("One Door Closes" was episode 37), I figured that was the end of the season. I would hate to see this "Real SHIELD" storyline dragged out for seven episodes, I don't think it has the legs for it. Although with seven episodes it does give a better chance for characters like Ian Quinn and Mike Peterson to reappear in meaningful ways.

This show has been damn near perfect this season. Only thing I'd wish for is use of more lower card superheroes and villains. There isn't enough of that. Mockingbird is cool and The Absorbing Man at the beginning of the season was awesome. We need more stuff like that.

I believe there's more than 2 left as well. No way it ends before the Age of Ultron tie in.

Wikipedia has only been adding the episodes once the basic details (episode name, director, etc.) become available. At the top of the article for season 2 it states that it was renewed for 22 episodes with the finale being broadcast May 19th. IMDb also lists 22 episodes.
