I know everyonne grew up with Scooby Doo but it's seriously the same episode over and over. Having it among the 10 best animated shows ever would be like putting Law and Order or CSI on a list of best scripted shows ever with X Files,Mad Men,The Wire etc.

If Transformers isn't in the list then it is invalid. No Dragon Ball Z? ?? Are they kidding? ?? No love for Robotech? That's my all time favorite cartoon series. Wow there is loads of crap that made the list.

It really says how good the classic era of "The Simpsons" is when the show continues to make #1 on these lists even after at least a decade of being terrible. No amount of bad episodes ever seems to erase anyone's memory of just how good the show used to be.

Though, I dunno what Batman TAS is. That would be Batman: The Animated Series (the one that took its visual cues from the Burton movie). For those that don't know what Battle of the Planets was, it was the English dub of the anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. It was okay, but if classic animes were eligible both Robotech and Starblazers were better (though Starblazers suffered from protests) and Voltron reached a far broader audience. If we were to cover modern animes that got widely distributed English dubs, recent additions like Dragonball/DBZ (pre-Buu), FMA: Brotherhood, Death Note, and a few others blow a lot on this list away. If crappy Hanna-Barbera cartoons from yesteryear had to be included, why in the hell did I not see Thundarr the Barbarian (I know, it was from Ruby-Spears Productions but it became a sister company to HB in the middle of the show's run)? It was visually far more advanced than any HB show and had an amazing concept (the stories were sometimes a little weak, but that is pretty standard for those shows. It was still better than Superfriends). Regarding other shows missing, I also cannot believe the Venture Bros did not make the cut. Add to that some other recent HB-inspired Cartoon Network (which absorbed HB) shows such as Sealab 2021 or Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. Also, Jem and the Holograms? Really?

Surprised by the lack of Disney cartoons. Because Disney rarely acknowledge them themselves.

Also, Jem and the Holograms? Really? Yeah that show making the list was truly outrageous...truly truly truly outrageous!

should be Star Wars: Clone Wars and not Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Clone Wars was done by Gennedy Tartakocsky, and was an awesome show with seriously gripping moments from the villains. The CGI one couldn't match that. They probably didn't include the Gennedy series because it was a "micro-series." Sadly I never got to see it, but the CGI cartoon was absolutely fantastic.

While this list is purely subjective, I could name quite a few cartoons that deserve a spot over Drawn Together.

Maybe the CGI show got better, but the first season of it didn't really impress me too much. Clone Wars was amazing at building tension, which I felt was lacking in the CGI series' first season.

No Pokemon? No Yu-Gi-Oh?
It doesn't matter if they're 'anime', it's still a cartoon

No Pokemon? No Yu-Gi-Oh? It doesn't matter if they're 'anime', it's still a cartoon I don't know, some anime fans are often adamant about how they're pretty different. Besides that, if there's any anime that I think deserve to be on the list, it'd be ones like Cowboy Bebop.

I am glad Avatar: The Last Airbender, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic made it. And all the expected cartoons that made it.
Now comments on the boarderline ones, and the snubs. Surprised Jem And the Holograms made it, I liked the show, but didn't think it would make it since it is often overlooked, disappointed some of the great Disney shows like Ducktales and Gummi Bears didn't make the list. And not anime at all, I don't expect the great animes like Fullmetal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop to make it, but the mainstream ones like Pokemon and Speed Racer not make it?
I am not sure Looney Tunes should make it technically, because I thought the early one's from the 40's and 50's were way better, and the later ones that were made for tv (this is what the list is about) sucked in comparison.

Yes, especially when they introduced characters like "Cool Cat" *shudder* I don't think he was in many shorts but if you take the time to track some of them down you'll know why.

The majority of their top 10 are awful shows. The rest, while I like many of them, are quite recent abd maybe should not be on there at the moment.
