Anyone seen this show, it is on the Disney Junior block of Disney Channel, and it is freaking awesome. Some people on the internet turned me onto this show, I have to admit I am kind of hooked. 5 years agao I wouldn't have giving this show the time of day, but MLP:FiM changed that, and it opened the door for shows like this for me to give a chance, including Littlest Pet Shop.
Anyway, there is a character called Cedric, who is kind of the villain, he is hillarous. The show teaches some good morals which sorry to say a lot of kids shows esepcially the live action shows on Disney Channel lack. If I had kids I would have them watch this over trash shows like Jessie, Shake It Up, etc. in a heartbeat.
For all you Rarity fans, I think you might like Princess Amber, she reminds me of Rarity, they have the same flaws, and good qualities that Rarity has, thought the flaws are amped up a bit compared to Rarity. And just like Cedric, she is hillarous. The episode with the magic carpet was awesome.
Though there are other characters I am not a big fan of (not to say you might be a big fan of, to each his own), the king can be kind of an idiot, Prince James is such a generic boring character. And for some reason when I see him on sceen I want to punch him in the face, he has that Jasper from Littlest Pet Shop thing going.
Anyway this show is my new guilty plessure.

I use to babysit a little girl and this was one of her favorite shows. For a young kids show it's pretty good. I don't think I'd watch it myself but for what it is, it's good.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I can't beleive the same people that give us this show, gave us the crap Disney Channel sitcoms. Sofia teaches morals and friendship. Like if someone is being difficult like Amber in the pilot, or the young witch girl in one episode, or the trolls in another episode, Sofia tries to learn to understand them, and befriend them. On these Disney sitcoms, in that situation the protagonsit would be mean right back, and you suppose to approve, because god dam it, the are the protagonist it is okay to be mean.
Cedric is gaining a following, won't be long till there is a Cedric fan club, if there isn't one already.

I know that Cedric is voiced by Jess Harnell, the same guy who voiced Wakko Warner from Animaniacs. Other than that I don't really watch it.

...It's a guilty pleasure.
Not because it's a girl show, but because it's meant to be educational.
Heck, Sofia is freaking Lara Croft when compared to Dora.

Thanks for reminding me, but this is one of the few pre school age indented shows now a days that doesn't open the fourth wall and pretends the audiance is in the room with them. I don't know what the exact term is, you guys know what I mean?
Forget Rarity, you know who Amber reminds me of, that blond girl from Punky Brewster.
Yes this show is good because a parent sit and watch this show and enjoy it as much as their kids, it has an actual story, and not let's talk to the audiance and ask some questions to the kids who are stupid enough to believe they are in the same roome with the characters.

My 4 rear old daughter likes it. Seems pretty much a young kid show. Doesn't interest me. Though I always liked Jane and the Dragon which is similar.

Well on occassions with the power of her amulet, other Disney Princess like Cinderella, Bell, and Jasmine so far show up to give Sofia advice and wisdom. Well if that is the case, I am waiting for the day when Princess Leia to show up and give some wisdom. Disney did do the Phines and Ferb / Marvell crossover, so you never know, it could happen, it would bring a new audiance. I wonder what advice she would give?

I saw a clip recently featuring a cameo by Princess Jasmine. IMDB says Linda Larkin did the voice but it sounds as if she used her regular voice as Jasmine is higher pitched (Larkin had to lower her voice to get the part originally.)

My son loves that show. He even asked a girl at school if she liked tea parties. I was very proud of him.
