I mean, the WWE can't expect to keep getting away with making people pay for this crap, surely?

That's some 2000 WCW PPV quality right there.

With the feed going out for a bit and the PPV being sold on the fact that there was going to be a champion crowned? You'd better believe some people are going to start calling Cox and Comcast.

This is a really hard thing to apply to a television broadcast. Since the quality of the broadcast content is completely subjective based on a viewer's opinion and tastes, and that it's not an actual physical item that can be resold to someone else upon refund, I just can't see any practical way for it to work unless the actual show doesn't broadcast at all as promised.

Went out for a period of time due to the power in the arena AND promised a new WWE champion. The former may not have been the WWE's fault, but the latter is the problem of the companies writing given this PPV main event was a response to kayfabe & non-kayfabe criticisms of last months PPV main event ending (no champion).

I find the concept for asking for a refund for a wrestling show completely asinine. It just goes against the point of what wrestling is to me.

I can understand that... I think it's just such a Pandora's box to open to start handing out refunds to everyone who asks just because they didn't like the ending. That would be exploited to no end, even on good shows.

I have absolutely no sympathy for people who looked at the card beforehand and still bought this PPV.

Whether people agree with refunds or not, I do think it is a sad thing that two months in a row, people have paid for a big show (no, not him), and got a damp squib with zero changes to any championships, even when such a change was promised.

I lol'd at the reports of refunds for the last one, because I found it sadistically cruel of the fans who did it - even though that might not be the popular or even correct position. But I damned sure expect refunds this time, and would find those not agreeing to be merely sheep-like sychopHHHants.

Why do people get so pissed off about No Contests and tainted finishes?
It's part of the entertainment, Wrestling isnn't a real sport so it doesn't matter if the finishes are clean or not or if there is a decisive winner. What matters is if the show is entertaining (which is highly subjective)
If you want to see clean fights with decisive winners bugger off to UFC or whatever.

I thought it was a joke when people asked for refunds after Night of Champions because of what happened on RAW. Situations like that occur in WWE that's just the way it is and its a part of wrestling.
But everyone who bought that show last night deserved a refund just for what they had to sit through. The Bryan/Orton match was awesome until the absolutely ridiculous finish (I mean seriously, who came up with that ending? Fire them now) and The Rhodes/Shield battle was great too. Everything else on the card was abysmal. Worst PPV since Capitol Punishment 2011, that shit was worse than Lockdown 2012.
Hell, over here in the UK we got it free and I still want to get some money back for that!

Why didn't Maddox just restart the match and ban Big Show from ringside?
None of it made sense.

Why didn't Maddox just restart the match and ban Big Show from ringside? None of it made sense. Because Triple H warned Maddox before the show that under no circumstances was he to get involved with anything that happened in the main event and that he should just let events run their course as it is "best for business" This was because there was originally a plan set up to help Orton win the match, but Big Show interfered before the shennanigans in Ortons favour could go down. Triple H had left the arena early, switched off his phone and was not watching so couldn't get Maddox to do anything about it, Maddox didn't do anything because he assumed The Big Show interference is what Trips was on about when he warned Braddox earlier in the night.

It's a dumb trend, but I would agree that this time it is needed. I am glad that I did not pay for that dud of a show.
