It's smarter booking. Don't have your top two guys (until Cena comes back) in the same storyline.

But why? It's bad enough that Big Show is involved. Can't we just let Bryan have this one? Because it's stupid to have an angle that engulfs the whole company and leave out a major player. DDP, Lex Luger, Roddy Piper, the Steiners, and The Giant feuded with the nWo at the same time, yet took nothing away from Sting. On top of that, every week Bryan was getting beat down the fans were chanting for CM Punk. The fans want the Bryan/Punk alliance. Bryan's thunder would only be stolen if he wasn't over enough or charismatic enough, but he is. I love Bryan, and I'm thrilled that he's finally getting a main event role. That said, I also love Punk and he'd add a hell of a lot more excitement to this angle than the cast of Saturday Morning Slam that Bryan's been teaming with. Sting was pretty much THE face of WCW and the nWo was a larger group overall. Bryan is still a work in progress. The "cast of Saturday Morning Slam" as you called them can rally around Bryan and let him be the centerpiece of the story. Punk, both due to his status in the pecking order and the nature of his character, can't really do that. I can see him talking over Bryan and not letting him get a YES! in.

That's the main reason I want this storyline to end. Both face Punk and heel Punk cut scathing promos against the corporate structure of WWE, yet when it's getting worse than ever, he has nothing to say? This is like Batman ignoring crime in Gotham City. It makes NO sense.

Punk is so inside his own ego he has no idea what is going on outside his bubble. Which is fine. I don't think he needs to be involved at this stage

They're keeping him away for now so that when Punk starts going up against the corporation on the Road to Wrestlemania, it'll feel like a bigger deal.
