I honestly don't know why. But I get a strong Macho Man vibe when I watch Daniel Bryan.

Yeah, kinda, even more than Punk does, against Cena's Hogan. I guess Punk might be Piper if Piper was a good wrestler. (Even Piper's fans tend to have to admit, he was not the best wrestler.)

I'm pretty sure that they just had a mountain of coke in the studio when they filmed these promos back then, everyone is just out of their mind. Too bad those types of promos have gone the way of the Dodo.

Macho Man wasn't stiff and awkward on the mic.

Aside from being very good wrestlers and sporting beards, I honestly don't think those two could be any further apart.

Not so much.
I'm not sure Bryan really so much reminds me of any one specific wrestler.
He's basically a cross between the Murderous Canadian Arsehole who Shan't Be Named and an INFINITELY more believable Rey Mysterio.

No, but you know who does? Cody Rhodes, more than he reminds me of his own family. The way he moves in the ring and the way he throws punches and stomps is 100% Savage.

Randy Savage was way more than his catchphrase though.
Daniel Bryan does not have the acting ability or promo skill as Randy Savage to be quite frank.
They are two different guys in a different generation. Randy Savage was around at a time where his performances could be fully appreciated and Daniel Brian is in an age full of crowds with low attention spans and that want to have the focus to be on them.
To me, Randy Savage was so much better and knew how to persuade people to be interested towards upcoming bouts.

No. If anything, Punk is the modern day Randy Savage. Great on the mic, can work as either face or a heel, and despite immense talent, forced to play second fiddle to the top star at the time. Savage had Hogan stealing his spotlight during his 1 year WWE title reign all the way up through the time they were in WCW. Punk has Cena, who was always in the main event of PPV's during Punk's 434 day WWE title run.

Nope. Bryan is no Randy Savage. Punk is no Randy Savage. There was only one "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
