Why do so many of your chocolate bars have peanut butter in them???
Yesterday I went to an American import store that sells American food and clothes and when I went looking though confectionery section it seemed like the majority of chocolate bars there have peanut butter in them.
Is there an answerer to this question is peanut butter in chocolate bars really that popular over in Yank Land???

I can't think of all that many that have PB in them. There's one type of Twix, Fast Break, Take Five, Reese's Cups, Snickers PB...that's all I can think of.

I'm no American but Peanut Butter Cups are soooooooooo good. British chocolate is better when it comes to just chocolate and nothing else but on things like Snickers and bars like that, American candy wins that contest.

Are you sure the import store doesn't have a bizarre view of what Americans eat? id check the clothing too. For all we know they think we wear tin foil sewn together by cheese string.

What do you put in yours?
And, if you want to get all weird, you guys have meat flavored crisps, like lamb and mint. They were good but we don't have that.

Is there an answerer to this question is peanut butter in chocolate bars really that popular over in Yank Land??? Yes. No need for the chocolate bar caveat... we love peanut butter any way we can get it. I used to eat it with a spoon right out of the jar when I was hungry and wanted something protein-y rather than just fruit. (There are peanut butters that have no ingredients other than peanuts, and they're delicious.) Anyway, Peanut butter and apples Peanut butter and celery and raisins Peanut butter and graham crackers Peanut butter and saltines and marshmallow fluff (or peanut butter, bread, and marshmallow fluff) Peanut butter and jelly Peanut butter and chocolate Peanut butter cookies All of these things, I have missed lo these last two years, having developed a peanut allergy. Forever I shall mourn the loss of Reese's cups and pieces.

They also had elderberry flavored soda, which made me laugh and think of Monty Python.

I remember seeing the Dandelion but blanking on the burdock. Burdock does make sense, as they are sweet. And you're British, aren't you? Hmm, thought you were American for someone reason.

Still pissed that I can not find Afri Cola anymore near me. Damn fine soda, more cafffine than normal ones with a slight spicy undertone.

Right, I thought you were from Texas. Gah, I don't know up from down anymore. I love Mexican soda but it's so bad for you. Jamaican ginger beer as well but it's way too strong for a lot of people.

I keep a case or so of Mexican coke arround for when I want a coke. Barely drink the domestic stuff anymore because of the fake sugar. And getting a case down here is like less than 20 bucks for a full case of glass bottle. Ive seen Mexican Pepsi and Sprite at the store for a buck, but the sprite bottles look really bad. Like its been used 4 times in the last 30 years and never washed between uses.
