John Cena has been wearing jorts since 2003(?), but he hasn't done his rapper gimmick for years now. It doesn't make sense for him to wear jorts anymore. But on the other hand, you could say his jorts are an iconic part of him. By wearing trunks, I don't mean ending up looking like Randy Orton. I was thinking something more like what he wore in his first match against Kurt Angle, but in green.  People have been saying that Cena's been stale for years so maybe the first step for a change could be a change in wardrobe. Otherwise, I'd be fine if he wore camo jorts. |

I think camo shorts suit him well. Jorts need to disappear forever.

Yes. The shorts are just a remnant of the rapper gimmick. He should have switched to trunks once he toned down his persona. I could totally see Cena in some trunks color coordinated with his Fruity Pebble mercy with "NEVER GIVE UP" or "U CAN'T C ME" on the butt or crotch. He can change up his look without changing up his character too much. I kind of wish Cena didn't waste his younger and good looking years in those shorts.  |

Nope, the shorts are too much his "thing" now. Maybe more decorative ones to coincide with his gear, like the ones the Usos have.

I think he's past the point of no return. I think he should have reverted back to trunks and wrestling boots years ago.

Cena should do both shorts and trunks depending on the situation.
He should wrestle In trunks for "already scheduled" matches.
If he's "not booked" to wrestle, he should wear shorts and if he's booked in an impromptu match by an authority figure, he'll wrestle in the shorts.

I wouldn't mind him switching to trunks if he ever turns heel. He could troll us with the idea that switching to trunks makes him a serious or better wrestler.

Please, no. What's wrong with variety? Why does everyone have to have an identical outfit, bar the logos? If it's not Cesaro's taped thighs or Cody's lack of kneepads, it's this.

I'm going to be honest, I don't really want to see Cena in trunks. In fact I'm all for variety, which I'd argue that we've been seeing in recent times(I'm not talking about stuff like Los Matadores, but there has been more "color" in the roster). I'm just interested in what other peoples' opinion on Cena in trunks. |

I don't think it's so much trying to make everyone look the same so much as wishing that the flagship wrestler of the company looked more like, I dunno, a wrestler.
I still think the camo shorts and black Rise Above Hate shirts are the best combo he's had. Long tights would be interesting but I feel like his upper body is crazily bigger than the rest of him and the shorts help mask that a little bit.
