Got this idea awhile back when someone say The Iron Shiek should beat Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Championship and be a Triple Crown champion. So if you had to pick a wrestler who had held both the WWE/World/Tag in the past but not the IC championship to beat Axel for it, which one should it be? Fun Fact: Both Undertaker and Foley not only need the IC championship to be a Triple Crown but also to be a Grand Slam champion as well.

Bob Backlund
Cena, Taker and Batista would be a step back. Backlund could probably take Axel in a shoot.

John Cena.
Winning the belt and completing The Triple Crown does seem like a good storyline for Cena
The IC belt needs to be on a "name", and while it may be a step down for Cena to go after the Intercontinental Title, I feel that if WWE is serious about building up future stars, then Cena may have to take that step back. Beating John Cena for the IC Title will mean more than beating Kofi Kingston for it.
