I know theres alot of days left until 2007, but i think i can make my year end awards now. Keep in mind this is only wrestling awards. Feel free to put your awards down if u so desire: Tag Team of the Year: LAX Y: This is the only dominant tag team really that didn't bore people(unlike DX)
PPV of the Year: Slammiversary Y: I haven't seen many PPVs this year. Alot PPVs haven't had alot of good matches like this PPV. So kinda a default reward.
Announce Team of the Year: JBL & Micheal Cole Y: This announce team is considered awesome on every website i've read on. It's kinda weird to b/c apart both are very unliked.
Rookie of the Year: Umaga Y: Umaga has been wrestling for a while but the gimmick is somewhat fresh this year. Also i think Umaga has grown on me.
Diva of the Year: Mickie James Y: Mickie has had probably the best year of her career. Also a default decision really.
Moment of the Year: Edge wins the WWE Title at NYR 06 Y: A year & a half ago i wanted him to win the WWE title. This PPV was sucky from the beginning. But damn that ending was awesome. Made me like Edge again.
The worst Moment of the Year: McMahons in the church Y: My god did Vince forget to take some pills for those few months where he was pretty much pissing the world off? That was also the night he declared the short lived McMahonism religion. G*d Damn was that awful?
Wrestler of the Year: Edge Y: This was kinda a default decision b/c the dude could not've had a better year.
Match of the Year: Samoa Joe vs Scott Steiner Y: 14 minutes of a match that shocked the world. As i recall many people said that Steiner would make the match suck. Instead they both worked their a wholes off to make a great match.
Thoughts: Not much of a year that had OMG matches & up&commers. Let's all hope 2007 will contain better qualities in wrestling to help make awards harder to choose from.

Tag Team of the Year: London and Kendrick ~They're simply the best tag wrestlers out there today
PPV of the Year: WrestleMania 22 ~A seemingly lackluster WM card turned into quite the memorable event.
Announce Team of the Year: JBL & Micheal Cole ~This announce team is considered awesome on every website i've read on. It's kinda weird to b/c apart both are very unliked.
Rookie of the Year: Chris Masters ~Yeah, I know no one else will agree with me, but I like Masters.
Diva of the Year: Trish Stratus ~The best known female wrestler of the last decade retired in high fashion, and will be missed by many
Moment of the Year: Edge wins the WWE Title at NYR 06 ~Edge has been the MVP of WWE this year, and this is where it all began
The worst Moment of the Year: The debut of ECW on SciFi ~First impressions are lasting and important....this wasn't the strongest of first impressions.
Wrestler of the Year: Edge ~Once again, the MVP of 2006
Match of the Year: Ric Flair vs. Mic Foley, SummerSlam 2006 ~A brutal, incredible match between 2 legends.

RAW Wrestler of the Year: Edge. He wins the WWE Title twice this year; had great matches with Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, and John Cena; and ended the year with another Tag Team Title reign with Randy Orton. It was a good year for the Rated R Superstar.
SmackDown! Wrestler of the Year: Booker T. He won the King of the Ring tournament, which led to him becoming King Booker. It was the usual stupid king gimmick, but Booker got it over. Then, he won the World Heavyweight Title in July and held until November. And, during that title run, he beat WWE Champion John Cena and ECW Champion Big Show to become the Champion of Champions at Cyber Sunday. So, ALL HAIL KING BOOKER!!!!
ECW Wrestler of the Year: Big Show. He wins the ECW World Title in June, becoming the only man to have held the WWE, WCW, and ECW world titles, and holds it until December. During his reign, he was booked as a killer heel giant that destroyed the competition and put on some good matches with Ric Flair, Sabu, and Rob Van Dam. And, after his title run, he retired before his body broke down. It was a good year for the Big Show.
TNA Wrestler of the Year: Christian Cage. He won the NWA World Title in February and held it until June. Then, he become the heel that we all know and love again, leading to a pretty good feud with Rhyno. Now, he is back in the NWA Title hunt again. Christian was wise to leave the WWE for TNA.
ROH Wrestler of the Year: Brian Danielson. He won the ROH Title in September of 2005 and is still champion. Also, he unified the ROH World and Pure Titles in August and was part of the ROH VS CZW angle.
CZW Wrestler of the Year: Chris Hero. He won the CZW Title and three Tag Team titles with Claudio Castagnoli as the Kings of Wrestling.
Worst Wrestler of the Year: The Great Khali. I would go through all the main wrestling promotions today, but let's face it. There was one guy so bad that he could make the worst wrestlers of all those promotions looked 100 times better, and that is the Great Khali. He was such a bad worker that WWE only let him wrestle on live TV once: against the Undertaker at Judgment Day. After the dissappointing dark matches he had with Undertaker, WWE decided to only let him wrestle on SmackDown!, that way they could edit his matches. Now, he doesn't even wrestle; he is just Davari's bodyguard.
Female Wrestler of the Year: Mickie James. She won the WWE Women's Title twice this year and from Lita and Trish Stratus, both of whom retired this year.
Tag Team of the Year: The Kings Of Wrestling. They held three tag team titles at the same time. Enough said.
Rookie of the Year: Umaga. He has been undefeated for the year and will be challenging John Cena for the WWE Title.
Announce Team of the Year: JBL and Michael Cole. At first, I didn't think this combination would work. However, not only did it work but JBL and Michael Cole have become the best announce team in years. They are funny and have great chemistry together. Plus, it is nice to see a true heel announcer again.
Best PPV of the Year: Slammiversary. Sure, it ended in a rehashing of the Montreal Screwjob, but there were a lot of great matches at this PPV, like the X-Division Eliminaton Match, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels VS America's Most Wanted, and Scott Steiner VS Samoa Joe. Hell, even the King of the Mountain was a good match.
Worst PPV of the Year: December 2 Dismember. It barely lasted 2 hours. The one good match on the card was a tag team match between two teams who aren't even in ECW. And, everyone was pissed that Lashley won the ECW Title. It left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
Match of the Year: Samoa Joe VS Kurt Angle. The dream match wrestling fans had wanted to see, and it happened. It was an exciting back and forth match, with a lot of fast paced action.
Best Promos of the Year: Paparazzi Productions. They were entertaining and funny as hell. Kevin Nash and Alex Shelley have great chemistry together, and with Austin Starr in the mix, they get better and better.
Worst Promos of the Year: John Cena's. He is a very charasmatic guy and has done some good promos in the past, but this year, his promos weren't great. They got repetitive and boring real fast. It is such a shame.
Smartest Decision By A Wrestler: Lashley Moving To ECW. Bobby Lashley was unhappy on SmackDown! and requested to be moved to ECW. He got his wish, and he made a good choice. If he had stayed on SmackDown!, he would have been stuck in a feud with the Kiss version of Tatanka, after he had just been in the main event of a PPV and challenged for a World Title. By going to ECW, he ended becoming ECW Champion. Smart move, Lashley.
Dumb Desicion By A Wrestling: Rob Van Dam Speeding While Stoned. It's no secred that Rob Van Dam likes to smoke pot. However, you would think that a man who has marijuana on him wouldn't drive over the limit. But, RVD did in July. He and Sabu were arrested for drug possession. To make matters worse, RVD was WWE and ECW Champions at the time. So, what happened to RVD. He was fined $140 and lost the WWE and ECW Titles in Philadelphia soon after the arrest. Not only did he cost himself two world titles, but he also hurt WWE's trust in him. It maybe a while for him to become a world champ again.
Best Movie Starring A Wrestler: Gridiron Gang. This wins by default since the other movies starring a wrestler all sucked, and this one was the only decent one.
Worst Movie Starring A Wrestler: The Marine. It is a clusterhug of a movie filled with a lot of action movie cliches and so many explosions it makes one wonder if South Carolina is made of entirely gasoline.
Best Moment of the Year: Rob Van Dam wins the WWE Title. Sure, he screwed up his chances, and the match didn't have a perfect ending. But at One Night Stand, Rob Van Dam finally won his first world title by beating John Cena for the WWE Title at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Worst Moment of the Year: D-X shoving Vince McMahon into Big Show's ass. Did we really need to see this? Answer: HELL hugING NO!!!!
Best Angle of the Year: ROH VS CZW. Philadelphia erupted in a civil war as the promotion that represents traditional, technical wrestling took on the promotion that represents hardcore wrestling. It was quite the rivalry.
Worst Angle of the Year: Eddiespoilation. Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero feuded over Eddie's legacy, Vicki Guerrero turned heel, and now Chris Benoit is getting sucked into this stupid angle that won't let Eddie rest in peace.
Wrestler Of The Year: Kurt Angle. He was the World Heavyweight Champion, put on some good matches with Undertaker, Rob Van Dam, and Rey Mysterio in the WWE, was released from the WWE, join TNA, and then put on a good match with Samoa Joe. Angle was also the most talked about wrestler this year and has become a top guy in two wrestling promotions. So, Kurt Angle is the Wrestler of the Year.

Tag Team of the Year: Aries and Strong ~They dominated the toughest competition.
PPV of the Year: Bound For Glory ~I honestly thought this was the turning point of TNA, after witch they would start gaining serious momentum. They really had some great things going with this PPV, and in my oppinion messed it up.
Announce Team of the Year: JBL & Micheal Cole ~Smackdown is easily the best wrestling show on tv. The parts that suck about it, are made great by JBL's commentary. These guys win this award by miles.
Rookie of the Year: Really cant think of too many true rookies who Impressed me.
Diva of the Year: Trish Stratus ~Cant deny the run she had in 2006.
Moment of the Year: CM Punks debut on ECW ~This momment and match were just soooo awesome. The crowd was so pumped for Punk, that I had goosebumps watching it.
Kurt Angle Video Debut On TNA ~Felt like Monday Night Wars all over again. I doubt anyone didnt mark like nuts for that.
The worst Moment of the Year: McMahon v God ~Lighting struck the ring, inside an arena. Not much more I can say about that.
Wrestler of the Year: Bryan Danielson ~I honestly feel no one else was even close to AmDrag this year. He had soooooo many spectacular matches, defended his titles against all comers, and did so with a bad shoulder injury. One of the great Champions in wrestling, in my lifetime.
Match of the Year: KENTA v Marafuji **GHC Heavyweight Title** NOAH
---thanks to Silk for the template.

Wrestler of the Year: Claudio Castagnoli, one of the best all around wrestlers this year bar none. He's built up well and he can be extremely technical as well as high flying when need be, he also has alot of charisma. if WWE figures out a way to screw him up I'd be surprised.
Mainstream Wrestler of the Year: as much as I hate to say it, HHH.
Breakthrough Star of the Year: Nigel McGuinness
Up-and-Comer of the Year: Chuck Taylor, why because he's 1337
Tag Team of the Year: KOW, how can anyone not choose KOW? they held the ROH, CZW, ANNNND CHIKARA TAG BELTS ALL IN THE SAME YEAR!!! now that might not seem like alot but given the fact that all of those promotions are some of the biggest indy promotions on the indy circuit that's saying something.
Feud of the Year: Kingston Vs. Sweeney, these two brought the luving heat in all their matches with most of them ending up like brawls, this feud also put over sweeney as an actual wrestler.
Promos of the Year - Paparazzi Productions, these promo's are what wrestling has been missing for a while. They're funny while putting over talent and a wrestling division at the same time. want to know how funny these things are? I can just quote lines from them and people will start laughing while reading my post. don't belive me? "warrior" see that worked! still don't belive me? "SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!"
Most Wasted Talent of the Year - every cruiser weight on smackdown
Match of the Year: Quack Vs. Claudio TPI
PPV of the year: wrestlemania, just for the fact that the entire crowd was full of WWE hating smarks.

What's with all the love for Cole and JBL. Every time I listen to them, it's mostly JBL rambling on about nonsense. Cole is not as bad as he use to be, but he's digressed since Tazz left.
There are no real good announe teams on TV at all.

Tag Team of the Year: LAX Possibly the most over tag team in TNA history, Homicide and Hernandez have been able to put on the most brutal and best tag matches of the year. Their bold gimmick and promos have been awesomely entertaining and I expect nothing but great things for these guys in the future.
Biggest Surprise of the Year: Jeff Hardy Yeah, we all thought the druggie would blow it again, but when Jeff Hardy came back to WWE in September, he shocked everyone by putting on some highly entertaining matches and actually looking like he cares. Hell, he put on a MOTY candidate with Johnny Nitro in a Ladder Match. Reuniting with his brother has given him the biggest pops of his career, and the guy has earned his spot back.
Breakout Star of the year: Johnny Nitro After his break-up with Joey Mercury, Nitro was sent to RAW where he quickly captured the IC title and put on some of the best matches of this year. Yeah, he's had trouble getting over, but his feud with Jeff Hardy has helped him out big, and I definitely see something in him. Unfortunately, the Reunion of MNM might hinder his push, but all in all, a great year for the up and comer.
PPV of the Year: TNA Bound for Glory In all fairness, most of the PPVs of this year were all quite lackluster, but TNA's answer to Wrrestlemania was a diamond in the rough. With every match and angle built up extremely well, and the matches themselves all being very stellar, it's an easy pick for PPV of the year. Sure Young vs. Larry was God-awful, and the main event wasn't five stars, but with the PPV debut of Kurt Angle and a satisfying end to TNA's year-long, number one feud, Bound for Glory was an awesome show.
Announce Team of the Year: JBL & Micheal Cole With JR and King's lackluster commentary, and ECW and TNA's overacting crew, this was a no-brainer. It also doesn't hurt that JBL is the best color commentator since Jesse the Body.
Rookie of the Year: CM Punk If you would've told me that eleven-year-old marks would be chanting an IWC Darling's name in a WWE event, I would've laughed. But somehow, some way, the ROH main-eventer has become one of the most over guys in WWE. It might be due to his intense promos. It might be due to his ring style unique to WWE fans. It might be due to his awesome debut against Justin Credible and his luck at debuting in the smark-heavy Hammerstein Ballroom. Well, whatever the reason, the Straight-Edge Extremist is Rookie of the year.
Diva of the Year: Trish Stratus How do you win Diva of the year? Retiring helps. Being considered the Hogan of the women's division does too. And walking away with the strap in your home town is a big plus.
Moment of the Year: Jim Cornette announces Kurt Angle's signing to TNA Who would've thought we would've seen Kurt Angle in TNA? No one. And at No Surrender, when we were left with Kurt Angle telling us it was real, that it was damn real, we were shocked. No one would've thought Kurt would ever be in a TNA ring, or fired from WWE for that matter. Regardless, Kurt Angle jumping ship has sent a huge message to the wrestling world, and the most unforgettable moment of 2006
Wrestler of the Year: Kurt Angle There were some low points, but Kurt's World Heavyweight Championship reign, his drafting to ECW, his highly controversial health problems, his shocking release from WWE, his even more shocking debut in TNA, his win over the undefeated Samoan Submission Machine, and his involvement in Match of the Year make Kurt Angle the center of the wrestling world in 2006.
Match of the Year: Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle II Their first meeting may have been disappointing, but their second encounter at Turning Point more than made up for it. The match that kept everyone on the edge of their seat with the most intensity and drama of any match this year. Truly a legitimate five-star match.
Angle of the Year: Big Show is Unbeatable Yeah, he got it on a fluke, but when the 7ft. 500lb. Big Show got the ECW belt, we got to see one of the most well-booked title reigns in recent memory. Many were disgusted with the decision at first, but the Extreme Giant busted his ass every time he stepped in the ring to prove that he deserved the name of ECW Champion. And he proved just that. Unfortunately, due to health problems, Big Show was forced to step down in a less-than-credible way, but 2006 was a great year for The Giant, and has proved he is the best big man of all-time.
Worst Tag Team of the Year: The Highlanders Okay, so you got these two guys. You put them in a tag team. You give them an outrageous gimmick. You air vignettes promoting them. You give them a push to dethrone the long-time tag champs. You job them out. Again. And again. And again. Good job, creative.
Biggest letdown of the year: DX Reunion And people call VKM's creation lame. Can you blame them? How can you not make fun of this lame incarnation of the revolutionary tag team? It could've been good, but Shawn's born-again values have hindered the group greatly, and what should've been mark-out central turned to nothing but cock jokes and them going over the Spirit Squad 10000000000 times. Oh well, the kids seem to like it. So let's do a stomach chop and show some male ass.
Most misused/underrated star of the year: Shelton Benjamin The phenomenal athlete, looked to be pushed big in 2005, has been reduced to a jobber to the IC champions of this year. A huge shame, considering his work rate. All he needs is a mouthpiece, and he might really take off.
Worst PPV of the Year: ECW December 2 Dismember With only two matches announced prior, I knew this wasn't going to be pretty. I was right. While the opener of the Hardyz vs. MNM was a stellar match, the filler was mediocre at best, with a hated Daviari going over Tommy Dreamer and Kelly Kelly being in the ring. The crowd was not feeling this one, and I don't blame them. The main event, the Extreme Elimination Camber, was a mess. Three of the most over guys in the brand and three of the least over guys in the brand collided in the chamber for the ECW title. What happened, one of the over guys was taken out and replaced by HARDCORE F'N HOLLY. The other over guy, the rookie of the year, was eliminated first, and the most over guy in the brand, eliminated second. We were left with the heels and Bobby Lashly. Not good. Lashly gets the win over Show to heavy boos directed at everyone involved with this terrible show. Only good thing: Show received a farewell ovation after the cameras turned off. He deserved that much. Buyrate was horrible, and because of this God-awful show Paul Heyman might be fired. A PPV so bad, it gets its head writer fired. Think about that.
Worst Announce Team of the year: JR and King These guys just don't seem to be trying anymore. They're just too old for it. People say RAW sucks for a lot of reasons, but this is a big part of it. If they want to make the brand better, I'd find a new announce team first.
Biggest bust of the year: Mike Knox Ultra-generic rookie that's so not over, he might as well be under.
Disgraced Diva of the Year: Lita Jobs on her final match, gets humiliated by a terrible comedy tag team. Terrible way to go for the most technically sound women wrestler in WWE.
Worst Moment of the Year: RVD and Sabu go to White Castle What do you do when your biggest star of both brands and his buddy you plan on pushing to the moon get caught with drugs? I don't know, and I wouldn't want to be faced with that situation. WWE was, however, and it placed the ECW brand in a bad position. Sabu was depushed and his morale sank low. RVD had both belts taken off and depushed as well. On the other hand, it gave the Big Show one last awesome title reign. But ultimately, you can blame the state of ECW on this moment.
Most overrated wrestler of the year: Batista WHY is this guy so popular? He's boring. He's generic. He can't wrestle. He just isn't entertaining.
Worst wrestler of the year: The Great Khali FGDHJKGHGDFSFJGKKBFGMLKJNBGFDHJ,XZGXAHBSDDSKJFVND FDJSKSGHFVNDFJK CBNDFJKGVNDFJK GXCM,VHNSD JKXCM,VB NDFKJCVM,BN JSDFKGVHNSKJD XCV NSDKJFGCVHNSDF KJCM,HBN JKFDMXCMV NJKDSMGHVND FKJS NDSKJM,GVBNDF KJXCM,VNDS JKXCM,.GVN SDKJXCM,.GVNDS KXCM,GVNSD KJXCM,V NS,DFMNGVKDSJM,FGVNSD.,XMFCVNCS KJDXM,CFCVNSDK,XCMFVNDFHBGVNDS
Worst Match of the Year: Bigh Show vs. Batista at the Ballroom The crowd at the Hammerstein Ballroom was absolutely relentless when Big Show, who had not yet gained ECW fan base approval, and Batista, who just flat-out sucks, faced off for the title. Both men were totally psyched out by the crowd and just couldn't wrestle in front of these guys. I still wonder why the hell they put these guys in the main event anyway. They knew the crowd would crap on it.
Worst Angle of the year: Don't Fire Eric Ladies and gentlemen: The Eugene of TNA. It was funny at first, but Christ, did it get old.
Gooker of the year: December 2 Dismember IT WAS hugIN' HORRIBLE
