I know that yamada used it in 92 after watching her hair vs. hair match with toyota, I also know that megumi kudo used it as well.
so my question is who came up with the move? I just kind of find it interesting that a move that alot of people find devestating was used alot by joshi wrestlers.

Wiki (so take it for what you will) says Megumi Kudo is the originator of the move.

Megumi Kudo invented it and called it the Kudo driver

Kudo. Duh. Gregory Helms credit stealing moron couldn't even do a shining wizard right, much less make a move.

the thing is though during toyota/yamada hair vs. hair you can clearly see yamada going for that move and this was before kudo even started wrestling.

Meaahahah Mutoh botches a Enzuiguri once, people think it´s a new move and they all use it now. He must feel like a genius or something .

Wasn't the DVD invented by a joshi wrestler too? I thought the DVD was from Louis Spicoli. Well, when you get down to it, the DDT was a front chancery until someone stepped on Jake Roberts' foot, and the Powerbomb was a mess-up Piledriver when Bruno Sammartino dropped the guy on his back and not his head. Recognising it as something special that has happened and using it again is the genius.

Kudo. Duh. Gregory Helms credit stealing moron couldn't even do a shining wizard right, much less make a move. Because the 'E also all wrestlers to do the exact moves the ways Puros work. And personally... I think that Helms does a better Vertebreaker than Homicide. But then I'm just a Helms mark.

I cant post the video (cuz it's so vulgar ), but, Megumi Kudo (AKA Sweet Sugar Ass) was the first one I saw do it on Stranglemania II. Edit: And besides, I have a feeling that even if they bleeped it, everyone'd ignore the match and be all "ZOMG, ICP IZ TEH SUXXORSS1111"

I thought that was Lou Thesz? Yep, it's Thesz. He went for a piledriver on Rikidozan and he slipped, dropping Rikidozan on his head. I guess he found it a cool but unsafe move so changed it to his opponent falling on his back. I have seen a match where Thesz actually does a powerbomb on Rikidozan, so it didn't start with Sammartino.

Wasn't the DVD invented by a joshi wrestler too? Yup, by Etsuko Mita, one half of Las Cachorras Orientales (LCO) in AJW.

I recall reading that he saw a shoot fighter do a running knee to the face, and liked it and started using it.

Wow. Women created these moves, and all most people can have them do is pose half-naked?

I read that too but I'm still wondering if she used the move before yamada. crap we need more joshi nerds in the world to tell us these things.
