I almost want to go back and quote a few people who were CONVINCED that WWE was going to do the right thing with Bryan, even after the abortion finish at Summerslam. As soon as he "held" the WWE title, I knew that was all we were essentially going to get.
But some people here...they remained positive about the stupid finish, even defending it. I don't know why. Because to me, it was their way of saying that they don't believe Daniel Bryan to be a good enough champion to represent their company, which is funny and ironic since that's exactly the storyline they're throwing out to people. And it's the same thing over and over and over. Troll, B+, goatface, etc etc. But wait...Daniel Bryan will get his redemption! Wait and see! So...he wins the title again and WWE is more convinced that the show would be better off with NO champion, instead of Bryan. So for 2 months...we get more of the same. Bryan "proving" himself...and Triple H showing the same "meh" attitude. What a heel!
You know...I almost think they gave the title to Bryan as a means to appease the people who would otherwise have complained that they sold him short. I mean come on...he's a two time WWE champion. What else do you want the WWE to do? It's like...we the fans are never happy! They had him main event for 4 months!
It's a joke, guys. They aren't going to do what any of the fans want...BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TO. The very fact that they keep the title on someone like Randy Orton, a guy who I think is an incredible wrestler, but in terms of marketing and character, the guy is absolute balls. They keep giving him the title of all people, I would like to think Vince convinced himself early on that he was a MAJOR star and no reasonable debate would sway him otherwise. I can't for one second understand why they do everything so backasswards.
The good news...and I'm being honest here...is that John Cena is WHC again. So in a way, I would almost consider him the defualt "champion" of the company right now. Right now, the WHC means more than the WWE title.
