First, they delay Watch_Dogs, nervous because of the many gaming sequels being released at the time. It'd be justifiable...then it turns out it screwed up PS4 sales as it was supposed to be a launch title for it. Yeah, that was bad.
Now, they delayed the South Park game again!
Forget EA and Capcom, at least they release games in time, Ubisoft just slapped me (and maybe all of us) twice in a span of a month.
Instead, have more Assassin's Creed whoring.

Dude everyone delays games. Even EA and Capcom.
And the delaying of Watch Dogs and South Park make sense.
Watch Dogs makes sense because:
1) GTA5 has pretty much killed the hype for any modern-ish day open world game for the rest of this year.
2) Just 2-3 weeks before releasing Watch Dogs, Ubisoft would release Assassin's Creed IV, another open world game. It makes zero sense to release two open world games within just weeks of each other.
South Park makes sense because:
1) It is being made by Obsidian, who have up to now only released games that, while fun with incredible stories, were filled with glitches out the ass because their publishers rushed them.

I'd rather wait for South Park than have an unfinished game (KOTOR2)

I'll take the worst possible Assassin's Creed game over anything South Park related.
Delays happen, it's part and parcel of the entertainment industry.

I don't disagree with any of your points but why would they set up the release dates so close to begin with? I didn't realize how close because I'm not into AC but surely they'd think "GTA V, AC IV, COD: Ghots... let's push back Watch Dogs a little" or was it just next gen release mindset.

Is this before or after that Uplay thing over black Flag closing off sections of the single player to pre-owned copies?

Meh I buy new generation consoles after year and half - 3 years later. They become cheaper, better bundle deals, more games, I don't get the red rings of death version, and more memory. Plus I still have to catch up previous games from the last console.

I'd rather they delayed Watchdogs and got it right first time than release a game that is unfinished. This game is very important to them and a bad release will to a lot of damage to the company. And this is costing Ubi a shed load of money. This is a strong product that many people were going to get on PS4/XB1 launch, now it's going to come out with a lot more competition.

I'd much rather a game be delayed than be rushed out and half-finished (looking at you, EA/2K).

When THQ was going to release it apparently it was a mess and Ubi is actually trying to make it not crap. Delays are no reason to call a company the worst. They are damned smart business moves that are not hurting the consumer. Except for the feelings of frail gamer flowers.

A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad - Shigeru Miyamoto.

This was a year where gamers said a $3,845,170 'screw you' to Capcom. They have to be in the running.

We'll see how long that lasts, though. Can't deny that they have seen better days. Microsoft, boy did they really screw the pooch this year.
