I was having a conversation on skype with some friends about temperature and weather heading into the winter season and I remembered that there are some places where it never snows, and if it does, it's never enough to stick to the ground. Living in the northeastern US my entire life I guess I've taken snow for granted. Although all those snow storms, ice storms, and Nor'easter's aren't exactly magical. Has anybody here never seen snow before?

I also live in the northeastern US. I went to Walt Disney World over Christmas a few years ago, and during some of their festivities, they make it "snow." I got to see the reactions of some people who had never actually seen snow before, and that was pretty cool.

I'm so glad I never have to see snow unless I want to. Snow sucks balls. I'll take a trip up the hill to Tahoe or Reno occasionally during winter, but snow is never the reason why I go up there.

Snow is awesome. Just not the first two weeks of snow when no one has winter tires and forgets how to drive where the city you live in gets 500 accidents in one day!

I like snow as long as I never have to go outside for any reason.

In college (in the upper midwest) I had a room-mate from Dallas that had never seen snow before.
First day it snowed he freaked out, stayed in bed until it was dark outside so he didn't have to look at it and obviously skipped every class he had. The next day he was already rolling around in it and throwing snowballs like a 5 year old. One of the top 5 most funny things I've ever seen in real life.

I'm from the Southeast and my wife if from the Northeast. She talks about snow in feet. I talk about snow in inches. It does snow down here, of course, but it's rarely more than 2-3 inches. I cannot accurately imagine more than a foot of snow. Even though I've seen pictures--it might as well not exist.

nope I live in England where all we get is 2 days of summer and rain.
I may be kidding and may have seen snow and written my name in it
that said I used to talk to someone who had never seen the ocean outside of flying over it which was mind blowing for me considering I could go from one side of England to the other in 5 hours or so.

Yeah my dad recently talked about things people take for granted and specifically used there are millions of people that have never seen the ocean as an example. Another was going to the beach as a vacation in and of itself as opposed to being something you do on a day that nothing is going on

Have never seen snow.
Living in Australia it's not common here and only certain areas have snow and even then it's rare. I think I would freak out massively if I woke up one day and it was snowing outside.

I didn't see snow for years, as living by the sea, it rarely stuck. Past few years it's been pretty heavy.
I remember my cousin going to the seaside for the first time when we were about 7, I'd always take in for granted, living on a peninsula, but he'd lived on the otherside of Liverpool his whole life, so he'd never been to the beach. The glee on his face was amazing.

Never more than 72 miles (I think) from the coast.
