Remember the general consensus when Low Ko quit because he didn't want to earn his spot in WWE? There were people agreeing that he should have just been pushed. It's kind of like that here. Yeah, but the reason Low Ko didn't get pushed is because he was crazy.

And of course Mark Henry, whose pecs went all the way around his back.

The catering bills were becoming unbearable down at Full Sail. They were losing so much money, it came to either release Ohno or sell WWE to Billy Corgan. I heard Kassius Ohno came to NXT and ate all the food at NXT and they had to close NXT.

Remember the general consensus when Low Ko quit because he didn't want to earn his spot in WWE? There were people agreeing that he should have just been pushed. It's kind of like that here. Hero is a fantastic worker. I live an hour from Reseda so I'll go to PWG's All Star Weekend to welcome him back to the indies. But I don't think he was a WWE fit. It's not the writers. It wasn't upper management. He just wasn't right for what they look for in a wrestler. Some may disagree with what they look for, but don't act stupid. They want muscular model men who know the basics, can do an overdrive or downward spiral in front of the hard camera and maybe learn a catchphrase. They aren't the place to go to showcase wrestling talent. They're a television company that is embarrassed to be a wrestling company. Don't let this shock you. Especially those of you who spend 5 hours a day disparaging WWE for their booking and lack of Bryan pushes. This is where the "just stop watching" mentality comes from when people complain too much. Not watching sends more of a message than nerd rage on a message board. They strive for ratings, not perfection. The fact that the stigma that "Vince likes big men" is still around baffles me. It's not that Vince only likes big men, it's just that big man have proved to be more of a success than the smaller guys. Their a television company that's been in business for 30 plus years because their more than just a wrestling company. They aren't the place to showcase wrestling talent? So why are CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Ambrose, Rollins all in WWE? I never understood why in a wrestling company, guys shouldn't be, on average, you know, bigger than normal guys. If the UFC didn't have weight divisions, it'd pretty much be only heavyweights that could compete. So smaller, regular-sized guys are probably over-represented in the WWE. It's this strange fictional universe where a guy like Daniel Bryan or CM Punk can occasionally beat up the Big Show. And its believable because of how well Daniel Bryan's and CM Punk's abilities are presented and sold, so we're conditioned to suspend our disbelief to accept it. And it does make for a better product to have that diversity and different types of guys. But it's still annoying that there's still this mindset where people are so skeptical and dismissive of almost any big guy, and would apparently rather have a wrestling company where nobody is bigger than CM Punk.

Ohno released. Eva Marie on RAW
I stand by my assertion that WWE developmental is a farce.

Yeah, but the reason Low Ko didn't get pushed is because he was crazy. He hasn't been crazy for years. By all accounts he was on his best behavior his whole WWE tenure. And he didn't quit; he was fired. It was validated by other people.

Vince and Triplay Atche like a certain look in their performers. This guy looked like he had never been to the gym in his life, I'd wager that he cant even bench his own body weight.

I suppose there's just no room for him, I think Zayn, Bo, Neville, Kruger and Woods will all more over with fans and WWE management. Hell it's arguable Breeze, Enzo and Big Cass, Dawson, Rusev and Graves are ahead of him in the pecking order too, or at least WWE see them slotting into the main roster far easier.
And that's before you even get to those on the main roster, I'm sure WWE see Barrett as somebody who fills the same sort of role better.

But it's still annoying that there's still this mindset where people are so skeptical and dismissive of almost any big guy, and would apparently rather have a wrestling company where nobody is bigger than CM Punk. Size is relative. Vince likes "larger than life", he's said it before. Could be personality, but they have the history of Hoss-tastic signings. Nash did the interview about "I want to see big guys out there" and while I get it, the only way that a big guy has any special attraction or "larger than life" appeal is when he's, you know, big by comparison. I've met Mark Henry in person, and the man is enormous. However, if he's in the ring with Big SHow, Kane, Kahli, Nathan Jones, and say Matt Morgan just a few years ago, how damn big did he look? We hear announcers say "You have to see him in person to appreciate how big he is" but shouldn't that be brought through on TV? Andre wasn't the only "giant" in WWF back in the day, we had John Studd too, but if half the damn roster was their size, would it be as impressive? Personally, I want to see a roster that is mostly smaller, athletic guys because then we have a better chance of entertaining non-plodding Hoss matches, plus when a big dude shows up it is easily recognized. It helps the contrast, I guess.
