Vince and Triplay Atche like a certain look in their performers. This guy looked like he had never been to the gym in his life, I'd wager that he cant even bench his own body weight. Does he even lift, bro?

Have we stopped to consider that this might be a work, cooked up on the part of Chris Hero himself?
I mean, think about it. It's leaked to a couple of news sites, and PWG is already announcing his return match... That is REALLY quick. In the meantime, he is still listed on the NXT site, and no announcement has come from WWE regarding his release.
All I'm saying is, a guy like Hero, who is definitely aware of his own legend in the IWC, would be able to work this kinda thing pretty easily, getting everyone all up in a tizzy, just to have them scrambling for their remotes when he unexpectedly walks down the ramp on RAW. Seems like a real good way to get his core fanbase talking and paying attention, swelling up some grassroots support, and possibly cause a ratings spike when all those folks click over to see what they thought they had been robbed of...
Just an idea.

Vince will regret this after he sees Thor and decides to give someone such a gimmick.

Just an idea. While there's always the very off chance that what we see in things like this is a work...I'm not seeing it here. Particularly since he really hasn't been on good footing with the WWE crew nor made a great connection with audiences. Would be nice if it was a work, but pretty sure he's gone (for now at least).

First we heard of Derrick Bateman, Percy Watson, Sakamoto, and Briley Pierce's releases was via their own Twitter accounts. The NXT site will no doubt be adjusted in the next few days.

Now why exactly would they let him do a shoot interview so soon after his release?

I'm sick of hearing about how Hero can now go to TNA, the fact is TNA would pay a pittance compared to what Chris could make in the States/Germany/Japan. Everyone seems to forget the fact that TNA pays very low to guys who hadn't had major exposure in the WWE. And also the price there guys out of the range of indies, and they can't even appear on DVDs.

Just an idea. I'm in agreement with how quickly things have moved since his release. It's very odd. The mark in me thought 'work' upon his release as way to ignore the inevitable I suppose. Your post however does make a little bit of sense, however unlikely it is. I doubt he'll turn up on RAW tonight, but with the support he has in the back, the fact that he did lose weight, and that he got a rave review from HHH on his match with Luke Harper... who knows.

Just an idea. Could very well be. After the Ambrose-Foley worked-feud-cancellation last year brought so much buzz upon Ambrose, I think anything would be possible. The only thing that makes me doubt it though is Chris Hero doing a shoot with RF Video as I doubt there's anyway the WWE would let a contracted talent release something in conjunction with someone who was caught on video attempting to molest a child.

Just an idea. 1. Colt Cabana, who was under contract and was appearing on Smackdown, was fired by WWE on February 20, 2009. he made his return to PWG on February 21, 2009 2. WWE doesn't usually announced the release of developmental talents. 3. His profile has been removed from the NXT portion of WWE.com 4. PWG had to redo the cards for their last two shows of the year and change a lot of matches around because of Hero's return. there is no way they would blatantly falsely advertise the matches for two shows, nor would Hero be unprofessional enough to try to talk them into doing so knowing full well he's not going to show.

LOL at the idea that this might be a work. Ohno was just a developmental guy who rarely appeared in last 6 months and most of the fanbase doesn't even know he exists, not to mention that he was fired. He shows up at Raw with or without this "swerve" and no one will know who he is. Imagine that ratings Spike after the great Kassius Ohno shows up on a Raw after fooling everyone. This hasn't caught any mainstream attention (or any attention for most part) to actually have people care about the situation and his "firing" or firing. Maybe if he was CM Punk that plan would be successful, but what's the point of working the people who actually know about him when they watch WWE anyways. Lets face it, if you watch NXT you're already watching Raw in most cases. The lengths to explain why a guy that failed to do anything in almost two years was fired... Maybe he'll show up as Hornswoggles big brother whenever Saturday Morning Slam comes back. Let's not ignore that possibility.
