Oh yeah, I vaguely remember that episode now. Why exactly couldn't the showrunners tell Kellner no? Because they'd get canceled? That happened anyway, so I really don't think it was worth putting up with. Thankfully, this didn't really tarnish Pinky and the Brain's reputation. Their show is still regarded as one of the greats from the 90s. It just sucks it had to end the way it did. They didn't want to risk potentially getting fired from the company, and being labelled "difficult to work with" I would imagine. I think they probably could have quit, and still have gotten work. But I don't know. Didn't they all split and go their separate ways after this ended?

I don't know, I thought the Animaniacs stew episode "In The Garden Of Mindy" was pretty funny, maybe they thought Brain being annoyed a dumb little girl was funny, so why not try it again, than again they did replace Pinky with another character, they didn't add another character to the team. And it is Elmyra Duff for goodness sakes.

No matter how much Cree Summers does adult cartoons, total jerks, and freakin' Medusa, I still think back to Elmyra.

OK. It would be fun to blame him though.

Even though nobody else gave a s*** about them. I think some people would disagree, although few here would. His teen anxiety stuff was very popular * Charmed * Buffy The Vampire Slayer * 7th Heaven * Gilmore Girls * Felicity * Dawson's Creek Some executives loved it too much. About a decade later, Dawn Ornstoff did her damndest to make the CW a network that catered exclusively to the 18-to-49 women's demographic.

Ornstoff wasn't with Time Warner/Turner, she was working at Lifetime during that period. Which would partly explain why she wanted to make it all female-oriented.

Maybe they should've added this character to the show instead of Elmyra: What I don't get is why is she attending a school called Chuck Norris Elementary? What about Acme Loonyversity? The only thing that can remember that was funny was Ben Stein voicing a disgruntled DJ who plans on quitting and tells the kids two rules: No bothering him and no requests, lest he'll play Black Sabbath for 8 hours till they get deaf, no go boogie or something. And I think Brain's love potion falls on him and then he says in a monotone voice "Why are you all looking at me? Get lost this is X Files spooky." Then he runs and screams. www.platypuscomix.net/downloads/stein.html

i weep for children with no cable In my day we watched fox or disney afternoon or kods wb to get some cartoons in after school I don't. As long as they have access to the Internet and Netflix, they have the best variety of cartoons to choose from. Not to mention they still have CN, Nick, Boomerang, Nicktoons, and DisneyXD. This generation's children won the jackpot for cartoons.

Someone reviews the episode My Fair Brainy:
Language warning.
There's a point made here. Making Pinky have an attitude and refusing to go along with Brain's plans was just wrong.
