F***ing Jamie Kellner. It wasn't enough for the WB to cancel quality cartoons, they had to muck one up too.

He did so much to kill the 90s, it's not funny. It really isn't.

Wasn't it obvious that Kellner loves sitcoms and urban shows.

Of course, thanks to that stupid AOL/Time Warner merger someone who didn't know how to run something like Kids WB got way too much control. Wasn't it only a couple years ago that the merger was disbanded? It really says something about how screwed up Turner got after that, and it still continues to this day with the idiot CEO in charge of Turner now.
Where is Kellner working today, anyway?

I hate this show... so much....
Besides the obvious references in the opening they had an entire episode of the original show that was based around the fact that a third character just wouldn't work and ruin the dynamic... (And LARRY!)

Wasn't it obvious that Kellner loves sitcoms and urban shows. Even though nobody else gave a s*** about them.

His teen anxiety stuff was very popular * Charmed * Buffy The Vampire Slayer * 7th Heaven * Gilmore Girls * Felicity * Dawson's Creek

Is there a place we can organize and throw rotten fruit at Jamie Kellner?

From what I read, the bug up Kellner's butt was trying to cut Time Warner/Turner/The WB's budget as much as possible while still making it successful, and a number of the big animated shows fell into his line of fire partly because their orchestras alone ate up a lot of money. Freakazoid was more of a unique case, as its ratings just struggled due to it being a more adult-friendly show, though Kellner was indeed the one who axed it. I'll never forgive him for offing Road Rovers, though.
Butr yeah, this show blew. Elmyra is perfectly fine when she gets her comeuppance in the end, as she often would on Tiny Toons, or when she's annoying completely unlikable characters like Montana Max or those would-be kidnappers. Unfortunately, Pinky and the Brain are light years away from unlikable.

And guess what? This is getting a DVD release! Has Animaniacs even been finished? Weird coming from the same company that does whatever it can to mask Scrappy-Doo's existence.

No mention of Larry or the episode "You Will Never Eat Food Pellets In This Town", all of which were messages from the writers of what a stupid idea this was going to bee.

I remember and Larry! (Obviously cause I mentioned it above...) But I dont remember the other episode which one was that?
Also my Grandfather of all people loved the original show and still has a Pinky and the Brain statue on his computer desk... I can't imagine he would waste even a minute of his time with this version of the show.

Why exactly couldn't the showrunners tell Kellner no? Because they'd get canceled? That happened anyway, so I really don't think it was worth putting up with. Thankfully, this didn't really tarnish Pinky and the Brain's reputation. Their show is still regarded as one of the greats from the 90s. It just sucks it had to end the way it did.

That is the one in which Pinky and the Brain is a tv show, Pinky and the Brain are actors, the network messed with the show to incrase ratings which included having adapt a bunch of orphans including a Steve Urkel look a like, also in his universe Billie is Brain's nagging wife, Pinky is married to a managin.

They didn't want to risk potentially getting fired from the company, and being labelled "difficult to work with" I would imagine.
