dude I'm 27 and I still live with my parents. in this economy it's nothing to be ashamed of. being "too old" is never the question. it's "can I realistically afford it?" and if you don't have full-time work you probably can't. I know there are some people who, for whatever other reason can't live with their parents, but if you don't have the money and there isn't a problem with you living with them, then there's no reason to rush yourself out and end up starving and barely able to put a roof over your head.

Anthony "A-Log" Logatto. Or as most would call him, "Chris-Chan 2.0". His catchphrase is, "At least I'm not like Chris!" Google him for more info.

The posting of Chris-Chan in this thread offends me on many levels....

Also, I'll never know why it's okay and accepted to ridicule and hate Chris Chan and that other guy.

It's one thing if people are livng at home because of how the job market is or they are going through personal stuf or whatever but that lego guy just looks like a damn mooch who is staying at home because he is a lazy slacker who has no regard for living off his parents teet still.

I left three months after I graduated high school and I did so BC I did not want to be that leech guy. To me I could not imagine a college girl of professional woman who would consider you worthy after the first time she went to your place only to discover it was actually your parents place. I understand there are many reasons why someone stays for a while. But it is very easy for that to become so natural that you overstay and by doing so you stunt your own potential BC you are not constantly swinging the hammer just to survive. The adversity makes you better. I wasn't great with my money when I was 19 but I became better BC I would not take charity from home and I figured it out myself. I ruined my credit early and took every bit of seven yrs to repair it. Now I can pretty much ask to be financed for anything and be approved in a hot minute. Some folks can't just up and leave, but like I said some of them will get too comfortable and stop truly aiming toward moving out and being independent. I say trial by fire. My first place was a one room apartment with a kitchen that was smaller than the bathroom. $165 in 1999 and I damn near got evicted anyway. It taught me a lot. Go forth I say

I left my parents' house a month after turning 18, and I do not regret it a bit. The economy might be shit, but it isn't so shitty that I'd be THAT desperate to move back. I'd rather live under a bridge.

I moved out during college, once I graduated and got hired I moved back in to save money for two years, back out of the house now
Has good and bad things that go with it. I had no problem with my parents and still don't. I didn't really hurt my game all that much either. In todays society it is socially acceptable. More and more people of the current generation graduating from college are staying in longer just because of the job market
