"...and is described to have zero knowledge of the product."
And people wonder why we complain.

No qualifications but he looks good in a suit, so he's hired...
Sadly this sounds exactly like something the WWE would do.

This is equally hilarious and depressing at the same time.
WWE doesn't have a goddamn clue.

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHA Motherf***ing Vince and HHH giving promotions because the guy looks the part. I think the man literally runs his real company like it's a wrestling show. "Hunter, I think this guy needs a push." "...You mean a promotion?" "He's got the right look. He's ready for the main event." "You mean...big responsibilities?" "Yes, the pop the stockholders will give him the next meeting will blow the f***ing roof off the building!" "...I'm...sorry, Vince, what?" "Your old assistant is going to have to job to him. No way around it." "NO, WHAT?"

It's like the episode of the Simpsons where Burns sent Smithers to find the dog and make it VP.

Why is it that I'm picturing Sean Clearly being like David Spade from that skit.
*John Cena walks into the office while HHH is with someone.*
Cena: "I'm here to see HHH." Clearly: "Right, and you are?" Cena: "John Cena...World Champion." Clearly: "Any that means what?" Cena: "This some kind of joke? I'm the guy who picture is everywhere." Clearly: "Yeah joking? I don't see anybody laughing, I don't pay to much attention to the pictures to be honest." Cena: "I'm the center piece of the WWE TV programs." Clearly: "I'm going to be honest, I don't watch much TV. But if you want you can take a seat right over there. I'm sure he be right with you."

It's like the episode of the Simpsons where Burns sent Smithers to find the dog and make it VP. At least Burns was rewarding the dog for it's heroism. Here? If true, you'd think that WWE would get in some kind of trouble for a discrimination act based on looks for a position that should otherwise not have anything to do with looks. I don't know if that falls under any real category here, but seriously...I'm just amazed at the stupidity.

Someone correct me but is this guy with no experience getting the same talent relations job as J.R. and John Laurinaitis?

Even if he really doesn't have experience with the product, Laurinaitis did and he was ultimately terrible. There are cases of someone doing better than expected in certain positions. But honestly, I think this is NEWZ.

Just because a news article says the person hired has no experience does not automatically make it truth. I refuse to believe any major company would give someone a prominent position because they look executivey enough.

Even if he really doesn't have experience with the product, Laurinaitis did and he was ultimately terrible. There are cases of someone doing better than expected in certain positions. But honestly, I think this is NEWZ. Except Laurinaitis wasn't all terrible. He just had the unfortunate task of following a guy who was better than him in Jim Ross. Also, WWE as a whole had changed their format in terms of expectations from what they want from the talent, so more responsibility fell onto Laurinaitis and McMahon as a whole being much much more hands off than he had been before. And let's not act like Jim Ross didn't have many many failures, simply because he was at the realm during a hot period as opposed to the dreadful middle years. Letting Jarrett's contract expire is about as awful as anything that Ace is blamed for during his stint. Laurinaitis was simply a go-between most of the time, middle management, if you will. Anyone who knows anything about middle management is the brunt of the shit will always fall on you, no matter what. You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't. With the way that Vince McMahon changes his plans, do you think that Johnny is ultimately responsible for the split decisions (especially the nonsense that Cornette solely blames him for) and abrupt shit that happened. Did he do an amazing job? Hell no. But he did what the front office wanted him to do and he got heat from the boys as a result. Then Triple H maneuvered himself into getting that spot, and it was easy to do when your predecessor is made to look incompetent, despite just following orders. That's politics. I would think when handling information between upper management and talent, I'd want someone who knows the ins and outs of things. Now whereas Laurinaitis was a company stooge, he at least was a company stooge who knew wrestling. Putting someone else in the hot seat who apparently has little knowledge of things and getting them to hand down the orders whereas I would think that either Ross or Laurinaitis would sometimes challenge or comment on these requests, while someone who doesn't have a f***ing clue would more than likely not question it for a minute. I don't have a problem with giving someone who comes from a non-wrestling background a job in wrestling. What I do have a problem with is handing out a VERY important job to someone who apparently has little to no knowledge of wrestling. The issue being that person needs to learn the ropes before being given such a demanding position. So you think Doug Basham showing up in OVW was a shaved head was bad? Ooooh, I can't wait to see what this guy does if the report is correct.
