Well after an impressive FIVE People show up to my first outing, let's see how we do this week...oh and on a minor note, I have another injury: Cremator has a 2 month eye injury. So, depending on how long this first round goes, he possibly COULD make it back for Round 2, but if not his replacement shall be Anarchy (The guy he beat in Round 1)
Nevermore: Week 2 (June 11th, 2014)
1. KOE First Round: Havoc vs. Antonio Banks In a Half a Star opening contest, Antonio takes control of most of the match, with Havoc getting offense every so often, but in the end Antonio gets it by a low blow/rollup combo. However, this was not the end as Havoc and Antonio brawl to the back, but either way around Antonio Banks moves on to Round 2
2. KOE First Round: Hotstuff Hernandez vs. Derek Frazier DUD. Here is what is funny, and what I should remember...I gave Hotstuff the win after a Border Toss, however the writer noted in his...well notes, that while Derek was hitting excellent moves, Hernandez was being sloppy the whole time. I shall remember this come Round 2 when Hotstuff Hernandez squares off against Antonio Banks
3. KOE First Round: Skag Rollins vs. 2 Tuff Tony In the most one sided match I have EVER read, Tony quickly puts away Skag after a DVD followed by a Inverted Tombstone. Just to show everyone who is boss, Tony steps out of the ring to grab a chair, comes back in, and LEVELS Skag. Note: Somehow the match quality was late 70's yet the crowd reaction was only 4 percent *shrugs*
4. KOE First Round: Adam Firestorm vs. Marshall Knox In a competitive match between 2 friends (Kayfabe), Marshall picks up a very close victory after hitting Firestorm with a move called The Showdown. Both men shook hands afterwards, which means Round 2 will be 2 Tuff Tony vs. Marshall Knox. So far, I am really liking my Round 2. 1/4 Star
5. KOE First Round: Ken Anderson vs Generalin Intikami In a decent match, Intikami wins after hitting Anderson with The Intikamio. High Spot came when Intikami hit a Tiger Driver on Anderson, but he kicked out. DUD. (Note: Must change Intikami's Gimmick)
6. KOE First Round: Alex Arion vs Black Dragon After yet another Impressive Back and Forth first round match, it was a battle of Arion's Speed vs. Black Dragon's Impact, and in the end BD hit a Shooting Star Press to get the victory, but attacked Arion post match, sending a message to his Round 2 opponent, Generalin Intikami.
7. KOE First Round: Gene Snitsky vs. Inferno In a DUD matchup, Inferno makes quick work of Snitsky after an Inferno Drop, putting him in Round 2
Main Event: KOE First Round: Low Ryder vs. Ashley Hudson One Last DUD Match, Ryder makes quick work of Hudson by hitting The Rough Rider (I swear this is what the game is giving me), then after the match Inferno comes in and hits The Inferno Drop on Ryder, sealing their match in Round 2.
Overall: 42% Best: Black Dragon vs. Alex Arion at 50% Worst: Inferno vs. Gene Snitsky at 33% Attendance: 10 People Mother f***ers! WE ARE IMPROVING!

Screwing around a little bit, I decided to bring back WCW in 2014. Starting out at a cult level with weekly PPVs until I can secure a TV deal. The name of the show? WCW Monday Nitro, of course! This may change if Raw slaughters me too badly. My roster is really indy-tastic:
Main Roster: AR Fox Candice LaRae Chuck Taylor James Mitchell Jimmy Jacobs (My one edit to get him. Franchise player) Joey Ryan John Morrison Johnny Gargano KENTA Paul Burchill Prince Devitt Prince Ali Rich Swann Roddy Piper (Commissioner) Shane Hollister Stevie Richards Ultramantis Black Vic Capri
Developmental: Alex Colon Angie Skye Arik Cannon Damien Darling Ethan Page Heidi Lovelace J. Miller Jessicka Havok Kimber Lee Lince Dorado LuFisto Madison Eagles Matt Cage Nicole Matthews Pinkie Sanchez Portia Perez Rachel Summerlyn Ray Scarlett Bordeaux Willie Mack
I signed this many people due to trying to not look small. I plan to try and run a lot of intergender stuff to see how it goes. Keeping my main roster small until I can get weekly TV, so right now I'm trying to balance vets and people I see being major players in the long term that need to get over.
About to run my first show. This will be interesting!

Ok, nothing of incident this week, let's move on
Nevermore Week 3: June 18th, 2014
With 16 out of 43 Competitors in, let's see how else we can shape up this King of Everything Tournament
1. KOE Round 1: Chris Mordetsky vs. Mason Cage (WXW) In a Dud Match that also appears to be a crossover match, Mordetsky puts Cage away with The Wave of the Future to advance to Round 2
2. KOE Round 1: Navajo Warrior vs. Bio-Hazard In another DUD Match, Bio Hazard picks up an easy win on Navajo in a match that Navajo appeared not ready for (Writer noted he seemed out of breath throughout the match), then proceeded to beat down Navajo post match (Round 2: Chris Mordetsky vs. Bio-Hazard)
3. KOE Round 1: Alex Shelley vs. J.C. Bailey In a very quick match, Shelley puts away Bailey with a Corkscrew Legdrop in a Negative One Star match
4. KOE Round 1: Tentsushi Shinjoh vs Dan Evans Shinjoh deeats Evans with a Powerbomb Pin then attacks post match (Round 2 is Alex Shelley vs. Tentsushi Shinjoh)
5. KOE Round 1: No Match Chris Sydal walks out to the ring next, as Dr. Luther comes out with a...cloth?
Dr. Luther talks to Chris and explains to him that Sydal was originally supposed to face Cash Flo, but because of Cash's injury, Sydal gets an automatic win. When Sydal says he can not accept that...Luther pulls out a new title belt: The CKW Cash Money Championship. Sydal takes the title and thanks our authority figure as we go into our next match.
6. KOE Round 1: Adam Flash vs. Homeless Jimmy -1 Star. Quick Splash puts Flash away and sends Homeless Jimmy to Round 2 against our new Cash Money Champion, Chris Sydal. Handshake after the match.
7. KOE Round 1: B-Boy vs. Chance Prophet B-Boy wins after a Cross Special Brainbuster. Post Match Beatdown. 3/4*
Main Event: KOE Round 1: James Hendrix vs Alex Porteau Porteau wins after a Dragon Whip. B-Boy comes out, hits Alex with a Brainbuster to end the show. -1 Star
Overall: 39% Best: B-Boy vs. Chance Prophet at 49% Worst: Shinjoh vs. Evans at 33% Attendance: 7 People

Also, I like that you have Ethan Page in developmental. As you can see by my posts in this thread I've been giving him a push lately and he's actually a pretty cool dude in real life. In my game though I fear his push may be ending...but stay tuned for that! Good to see this thread getting a little more energy today

Thanks for the roster love!
Page is the man. I've seen him tons in AAW down in Berwyn. He's got charisma for days out there. He did a friend of mine's podcast and was a blast, too. Really underrated guy.
First episode of WCW Monday Nitro June 3, 2014:
PBP: Scott Hudson Color: Gavin Loudspeaker
Dark Match: Candice LaRae d. Prince Ali 64% overall
Main Show: Piper announces Gargano/Devitt 88% overall
AR Fox d. Shane Hollister 60% overall
Stevie Richards d. Vic Capri 51% overall
Chuck Taylor d. Rich Swann 64% overall
Jimmy Jacobs self hype promo 83% overall
Jimmy Jacobs d. Paul Burchill and John Morrison 69% overall
Johnny Gargano hype promo 77% overall
Johnny Gargano d. Prince Devitt 70% overall
Show overall: 70%
0.11 buyrate 915 attendance
Not bad for the first go-round. I'm focusing my product more on in-ring quality, so i'm not worried about the overall ratings as long as there's decent quality. Plus, no one is really over yet so that's hurting things.

In a May 2014 game on TEW2013, I have some feuds going on with the Heyman Guys vs. Undertaker, Wyatt Family vs. Cena/Usos, Big E/Mark Henry/etc vs. Rusev, various little feuds for Sami Zayn and Bo Dallas to up their popularity (Bo's in the midcard, Sami in the lower-midcard), Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk vs. Kane vs. et cetera, Adam Rose vs. Jack Swagger, and I also brought back Bubba Ray and D-Von as the Dudley Boyz somehow with a face Brad Maddox backing them, not only for them to feud with Evolution, but to fill the spot of the Attitude Era tag team that was left open when I released Billy Gunn and Road Dogg. I might have the Dudley Boyz win the tag team titles for nostalgia's sake much like the New Age Outlaws, perhaps from Orton and Batista, who could be transitional champions at this point.
Also, I have Edge back as a colour commentator, I might have Stone Cold go from retired to semi-active via the editor, and for some reason Jerry Lawler is a semi-active wrestler, and is retiring from supposed in-ring action that didn't seem existent at this point. Somewhere in my roster pool, there's Chris Sabin, KASMA (the renamed KENTA), Richie Steamboat, Tyler Breeze, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, Adrian Neville, Evan Bourne, Tyson Kidd and more, a couple of who may become future main eventers. People I'm planning on having people go over include Alberto Del Rio, Rob Van Dam, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, Sheamus, Kane and maybe also The Big Show, since I don't have a lot planned for any of those guys.
People on my mind to hire in the future include Chris Hero, as well as Kevin Steen and Prince Devitt, in order to be more comparable to the real WWE's happenings.

So I'm playing a WCW 2000 game with Vince Russo as my avatar. I have Ric Flair as the authority figure while Biscoff is out and he's now "retried". I have Booker T feuding with Bret Hart. Rey wants to prove himself so he is going after Scott Steiner for the Hardcore Championship. Also Sid Viscous has it out for Flair since he's being paid off by the NWO 2000 since Flair is a face and fair authority figure. It's still Jan 2000 though so I haven't gotten very far. Sting is currently out but I plan for him and DDP to team up and mentor the more younger roster members to end the nwo 2000 and put a final end to that nonsense.

Getting back into EWR, I have a 2002 MLW game going. Product wise, things are going decent. My World Champ is Steve Corino, he's feuding with Terry Funk right now. I think Funk's gonna win and then hotshot the belt to Raven (who's definitely the best heel on the roster). Raven's feuding with Sabu, and he's gonna end Sabu's MLW career in a loser leaves town match (because Sabu's not that good and too pricy). My tag division kicks ass, I've got two good feuds going. One is the SAT vs. CW Anderson and Simon Diamond, and the other is the Second City Saints vs. the Lords of the Game (Michael Shane and Joey Matthews). The SAT and SCS had a one off match that garnered 100 percent match quality, so that's gonna be the big tag feud going forward. I'm trying to build up Punk enough so that he can challenge Raven (or whoever beats Raven) for the World Title in about 8 months.
However, we're doing shit money wise. I've lost about a million dollars in two months. We're in the negative right now. The bank refuses to give us loans. I offered Mike Awesome and Dan Severn (two highly paid upper carders who weren't involved with much) releases, and they both said yes because the company's doing shit financially. How do I cut costs enough to keep the company afloat?

I somehow got a *** star rating for a Terry Funk/Vince Russo Hell in a Cell match, complete with Funk taking a sick bump.

I remember liking finding two wrestlers that were perfectly compatible, and delivered amazing matches. I think it was Mike Quackenbush vs Jack Evans, I had them wrestle each other a few times, and their over rating soared. Problem was neither wrestler was really that compatible with anyone else.

Although, you may have to wait until sponsorship contracts run out so you can get some new ones. I'd recommend just using the money cheat in Arsenic to keep you afloat until you can get better sponsors. I'm guessing you are a regional company so are all of your guys on open deals? If not, fix that. It's fine if you are paranoid and want to lock down one or two guys but any more than that is essentially a waste, especially if they have a big price tag to begin with. And whatever you do, do not run weekly events.

And I'm gonna try Arsenic, but I messed up and selected a shitty ZIP converter so it's harder to get Arsenic on my new computer than on my old one. And I've got two TV shows, is that making or costing me money?

That way, you save money for TV Shows and make money off house shows. The two TV shows should be making you money at that level so I'm not sure what's up with that.

I was so proud of myself when I figured that out in a WCW 98 game. I booked Benoit/Jericho on the first show just for the hell of it, and both got over enough to move to the upper midcard. So I started looking at guys with similar stats and suddenly, most of the cruiserweight division was in the upper midcard, along with my US/TV Title guys. Unfortunately, it also makes it harder to book, because first instinct is to stick with what works, but then you have guys stuck fighting over belts they're too good for, or a bunch of guys all wanting to main event, when it's just not possible.
