Spielberg directing return of the Jedi sounds insane and amazing. I didn't even know he was offered to direct. I know David Lynch was

I definitely don't see On Her Majesty's Secret Service as terrible. Because it isn't. It's one of the best received Bonds critically as well as being very popular amongst Bond fans.

Heh, I give them credit for mentioning Larry Fine's childhood acid burns but that list sucked outside of Jedi.

Mainly people on the internet hate on OHMSS because it ruins their Bond-as-a-Codename fan theory.

Not surprised about Chuck and Larry; I remember there were bits that weren't so Sandler'd up that were actually quite touching. But, of course, it got Sandler'd up.
Spiderman III could have very well been on this list, too; had there been less corporate meddling and such a desire to cram the symbiotes into the film, the Spiderman/Sandman and the Spiderman/Goblin II story arcs could have, I believe, been very good, especially taking up where Spiderman II left off with Peter struggling between being Spiderman and trying to be with Mary Jane.

Sometimes I wonder if I was the only person who really enjoyed Prometheus. It was okay. The characters were just terrible and not very memorable, they turned into your standard horror/sci-fi stereotypes.

ROTJ WASN'T. BAD. AT. ALL. I cannot complain about Ewoks in a world where there are now Gungans.
As for another name for this list...X3, full stop. If they kept Singer and didn't rush the film after they lost him, it could have been something.

In my opinion, the relationship between Fassbender and Charlize's characters was the makings of a much more interesting movie in my opinion.

And I'm still convinced that Charlize's character was also an android, but was unaware of it, unlike Fassbender, who seemed more curious as to what it was like to be human, even going as far as to basically emulate Peter O'Toole's look and mannerisms after watching Lawrence of Arabia. There's tons of subtle hints to her being artificial intelligence.

I'm very confused by this list.
First off, despite a not so good lead, OHMSS was a great movie. If you could overlook that the guy portraying Bond wasn't Connery...it's a good movie. So if you can't overlook that the guy portraying Bond wasn't Connery, then you shouldn't watch movies. Also I loved the ending to OHMSS, it showed that Bond could "feel" without having to show him violently sobbing in the shower like a bitch.
And Spielberg directing ROTJ? It might have been better. Might. We've seen what Spielberg has done in the fantasy realm and it works best when there is a link between fantasy and reality; ET, Poltergeist, and Close Encounters all had them. You know what didn't? Hook, Minority Report and AI...all considered Spielberg's weaker movies (although they are still decent for the most part, I wouldn't even put them on ROTJ level). Marquand was a hell of a director, (Jagged Edge is an amazing movie) whose career was cut VERY short. Jedi suffered from Lucas having too much control over it, the same thing that happened to Crystal Skulls (a Spielberg movie) had. The director of the piece doesn't always mean it would be good. A lot of people say ESB is the best movie, and they're right. But you know what? As a whole, Irvin Kershner wasn't a very good director, but he propelled a decent story because he wasn't bogged down by Lucas being up his ass. And if ANYONE should have been given a chance to direct Jedi, I would have preferred David Lynch. He was in the running to do it, and I think even Lucas would have been hands off if that happened.

I thought Prometheus was one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen, visually, and I definitely enjoyed it, though I totally get all of the gripes. I cannot get behind OHMSS being on this list though. It was voted THE best Bond movie by fans.
