Getting R-Truth to hype up your debut is worth as much as a dozen weeks of video packages. Dude can get crowds fired up for anything.

Glad he's on the main roster. I was hoping we'd hear his theme after the match, but alas. We didn't.

I dont want to take the wind out of anyone's sails but I can't be the only one who thinks that Xavier using the power rangers gimmick on the main roster seems unlikely? There's got to be copyright shit that would get in the way.
At best he'll yell ITS MORPHIN TIME but never into a mic or in an actual promo just like CM Punk does with "its clobberin time" and that will be it. He won't be announced from Angel Grove like... I'm surprised they can get away with that legally on NXT even. Maybe there's something about copyright/trademark laws I'm missing here
But even if is legal I find it unlikely he can make "Power Rangers Fan" into a full fledged gimmick. Maybe a "90skid' In general type gimmick MIGHT work, but it still seems hard to get across to a larger audience. On NXT? Sure. On RAW? Seems ... questionable.

Is that who was Truth's tag partner tonight? I thought it was Lamont from "Sanford & Son." I was like, "Geez he looks great for his age."

Actually doubtful considering "It's Clobberin' Time" was repeated twice by the announcers...WWE has a tendency to be overlooked by pretty much everyone that do not follow it unless the performer is in a movie

Seems ... questionable. 90's kid pretty much already was his gimmick. Yeah it was, but it seems like the Power Rangers aspect is the most emphasized part of the gimmick. Aside from the one promo on NXT where he did the Troy McClure thing, there's not real emphasis on the 90s kid thing. Unless he's coming out to Miami bass ("booty music"),spouting catchphrases from Martin, or wearing a green sweater vest and khaki shorts like Doug Funnie, he's just "The Power Ranger" guy.

Then again, Punk does IT'S CLOBBERING TIME so maybe he can get away with it. I think it's more likely that none of them have any idea what the power rangers even are and he'll get away with it for like 2 years until Triple H finally hears about those power rangers thingies. Then he'll sigh as he realizes how behind the times he is, look at Vince and be like "...I finally understand what it's like to be you pops."

Hopefully he does some stuff other than "black guy that teams with R-Truth and dances." I hope that he does well though, as he seems like a good guy. Though I don't expect that most of the NXT guys will be anywhere near as over or as fun on the main roster.

At worst, if he ever gets into a WWE 2K game, they'll mute out the references and etc.

While Xavier isn't my favorite in ring guy necessarily, he's got the charisma, the look, and the work ethic to go very far.
I'm guessing he's received his Ph. D by now, and the McMahon family has to have a HUGE amount of respect for that, especially since he did it while employed by them. I'm not sure if he'll ever be a WWE championship contender, but I can see him getting a push to go after it. He'll at least be a multi time mid card and tag team champ by the time he hangs it up, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say he does win one of the big gold belts.
There's just something to Woods that can get him over with everybody.

See, I know nothing of the Power Rangers, so I thought he said "IT'S MUFFIN TIME!!!"
I was confused.

Selfishly I was hoping he'd have a little longer on NXT as he's never really had a proper run down there but still good for him and Raw in general.
