If by greatest reign you mean dragged on and on halfway through just so The Rock could win it in January, then sure.

The beginning of the most AGGRESSIVE reign in WWE history. Fixed for accuracy. Except Punk won and not Del Rio.

I don't know if the two posters above me are confused by the still from the video being Alberto applying his submission, but to clear up any confusion this was the start of CM Punk's 434 day run as WWE Champion...
...And one of my personal favourite title runs of all time.
A few highlights of the reign:
.The great singles match with Ziggler at Royal Rumble .The Wrestlemania match with Jericho. .The Street fight against Jericho at Extreme Rules. .The well worked heel turn and Heyman alliance during the reign. .All the amazing matches with Daniel .The match and great promos with The Rock. including the "second pipe bomb" and "Your arms are too short to box with God"

I loved the reign. Though face Punk not main eventing most of 2012 PPVs was bullshit but still, it's cool.

The beginning of the greatest reign in WWE history. I think you got the wrong video there pal. I don't see JBL winning the title anywhere in that video.

As much as I liked Punk, and most of the matches during his reign (at least before the heel turn) were solid, it did kind of drag near the end when it was obvious he was still champ so he could drop the belt to The Rock. The Punk/Bryan match from Over the Limit was one of my favorite matches from last year, and the street fight with Jericho from Extreme Rules was awesome too.

I was there and the pop when Punk won was an amazing thing to experience.
I've never actually watched Survivor Series 2011 apart from experiencing it live, I don't know how it came across on TV but the energy that night in the Garden was amazing.

It was a truly tremendous reign. I really wish he could have made it to 'Mania as Champ and I'm sad his reign had to suffer through the early three hour RAW's when they weren't quite used to producing three hour shows week-by-week and RAW was at its least entertaining since I'd started watching WWE again in 2010. That being said it was still an astonishingly good reign.
The match with Del Rio where he won it was amazing (and Fink announcing him was so cool), the matches with Ziggler, Jericho (particularly the Street Fight), Cena and Bryan (the storyline may have been terrible with AJ overload taking precedence over the WWE Title and both guys but the matches - the Over The Limit one in particular - were still great) were all fantastic. Not sure it's the greatest reign of all-time but it's probably the most entertaining one in my time watching WWE.
It's kind of amazing to think how good the top title reigns were in the three big companies during 2012 - you had Bobby Roode having the greatest TNA World Title run of all time, CM Punk having a legendary WWE Title run and Kevin Steen having a fantastic ROH World Title run (even if some of the Cornette stuff brought it down a little). There were faults and flaws with all 3 companies during 2012 but the main World Title runs in each company across the year were executed fantastically.

The Punk/Bryan match from Over the Limit was one of my favorite matches from last year, and the street fight with Jericho from Extreme Rules was awesome too. Ditto. Somewhere between RAW 1000 and SummerSlam, the air kinda left it, as it went from Punk proving the was the top of the food chain to him just holding it for when the Rock came back. Amazingly, it wasn't until such was obvious that they started letting him main event...

First half was decent, second half was terrible. Heel "I'll do anything for some heat" Punk was the drizzling shits.

It opened the show for some reason but the crowd was hot and the wrestling was incredible.

For a few weeks after he lost it, I kept forgetting that he had. So anytime I saw him without the belt or saw it on someone else it felt very very weird.

Looking back it's amazing how long he held it considering how short his World Title reigns were and his first WWE Title reign. It was nice to finally see him get the long reign he deserved. I would have perferred it if he had stayed face throughout his reign as I never wanted to boo him and a large number of fans never wanted to either.

Something personal from me but the same day (which was the next Monday morning/noon for me as I live in Australia) I was officially enrolled in my current school which saved my education and possibly my life. Later that day I would watch Survivor Series and see Punk win the title. So I always connected these two things together, they're just so special to me.
Anyway, I loved Punk's reign although I do agree about it not being so good during the later months thanks to the forced heel turn. I enjoyed a lot of the matches he had against Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan. The Punk/Bryan/AJ (including Kane) angle was my favourite of the year because I loved everyone who was involved in it and they all played their parts so well. It's a damn shame he had to lose it the way he did, I mean The Rock is one of my all time favourites but he should have not beaten Punk.
