From a deleted scene that was gonna go post-credits of The Wolverine: ![](https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/1472008_10151517140529229_398647641_n.jpg) A cool lil thing. Though I can see why they deleted it; obviously Singer isn't gonna have him in the suit for Days of Futures Past, so this coulda been just a cruel tease of sorts. Still like the look of the mask though. Although, if he ever was to don a costume I'd want Eighties brown and tan.

Eh, I always thought he looked more iconic without the mask, given his weird hair and usual facial features.

It's because singer is sadistic dick, and likes to get your hopes up. The fact that The Avengers made his statement that "yellow looks like shit on screen" foolishly wrong, it actually works to make this tease even more cruel.

![](http://i.xomf.com/rsvlk.png) Wolverine 2 director James Mangold said in interviews it wasn't a plan for anything. He just heard fans wanted to see the classic costume, decided to have it made while on set. There was no approval from Fox and it ended up cut. They're doing a 3rd but there's no guarantee they'd use it. I think it looks pretty cool.

On a slightly-related note, I went to see Thor 2 twice this past week. Both times everyone in the theater concurred that the trailer for the next X-Men movie looked ridiculously bad.
I know this because both times it was just me and one other person in the theater.

In the voice of the nerd from robot chicken:
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! I was a loyal X-Men collector from 1990 on and like many I salivated over live action movies with my favorites. I never ever expected or wanted the costumes to make it exactly as they are in print, into live action. They would look silly. Batman looks too badass to cast doubt on comic vs film adaptation of costume. Superman got a face lift on his costume. Wolverine's just could not look badass on film for more than the fleeting markout moment. Glad they winked at it, but elated they cut it

I'd really like to see it on him before I feel like I could make a judgment. The mask looks fine, but would it look as good on him?

To bad FOX has pretty murdered my interest in all things related to X-Men. Would have loved to seen that in 2000.

Wow...that suit actually looks pretty cool from what we can see of it.
So, of course we won't ever see it again.
Then again, I'm tempted to not trust anybody besides Marvel Studios or Matthew Vaughn to make the yellowy traditional X-Men outfits work on the big screen.
Have I mentioned how annoyed I am that we finally were free of Singer's bullshit with the reboot and had potential to get better X-Men movies, only to have him drag the First Class continuity into his mess of a franchise?
Much like this scene and these images, it now feels like First Class was nothing but a tease of what could have been, only so Singer could run up & snatch it away in place of fifty more movies centered around Wolverine.

Actually looks pretty cool. After Injustice, I've kinda become a fan of the whole armoured superhero look.

Actually looks pretty cool. After Injustice, I've kinda become a fan of the whole armoured superhero look. I'm kind of the opposite - never was much of a fan, but Injustice's designs killed the concept for me entirely and I think they largely look horrible. Mainly as it pertains to Batman, which is weird since he's usually the guy I excuse armor on; his weird, T-shirt looking torso and strange circular-sided head just don't remotely look right. That being said, what we can see of this looks pretty decent, though Days of Future Past... Don't get me started. I loved First Class, easily the best of the X-Men movies, but Days of Future Past seems to be going through a checklist to screw up everything about that it possibly can. Edit: Actually, I take that back. Insurgency Joker is the worst. I refuse to believe anyone can possibly like the way that looks.

I kind of want to see a publicity shot of Hugh Jackman in it just to see how it would actually look, but yeah, probably would look goofy next to more realistic/practical outfits.

Like, everyone else has their Insurgency gear look badass and kinda thrown together, and then he's wearing that shit?

I'd like to see him shave first before putting it on. I know Wolverine has mutton chops, but Jackman's Wolverine has a full beard going on! Doesn't quite look right and I don't think would look good with the mask either (unless he was trying to look like D-Man or something).

....I take it I'm the only one interested in "Days of Futures Past"? I'm still partially interested, if only to see Sentinels for the first time but my love of the mainstream X-Men greatly diminished over the course of the original three movies, well, except for Cyclops and partially Beast, if only because without him Dark Beast wouldn't exist.

I am very interested in Days of Future Past. What has me curious is why are people hating on Singer? X-Men and X2 were amazing, especially X2 given how emotional the ending was. Or do some of the fans want Ratner back?
