My god, what a star making performance. I cannot wait for him to absolutely destroy Dean Ambrose now and begin his ascension to the top.

He and Seth Rollins will be my new Cena and Orton in years to come.

Said it in the PPV thread, they basically turned the guy babyface tonight. He got one of the biggest pops of the night.

Should have speared Orton and Cena to hell to end the show.

It's too bad if they're going to break up Shield soon. I think they have a face run in them to get crowd support before Ambrose reverts back to being a heel and Rollins sadly goes on to being the next Kofi Kingston.

I didn't watch last year's Survivor Series, so all I saw of the Shield's first appearance was all the marking on here, pretty much exclusively over Ambrose and Rollins, with comments on Reigns ranging from "yeah, okay, a third guy is nice" to "it should be Kassius Ohno" and the general consensus being that he was going to be the nonentity third wheel of the group.
Come RAW the next night and their first promo, and it was so, SO obvious already that Roman was the one pegged as this future megastar, and the indie duo were just there to help build him up and make him look good.
Looks like things are going as planned.

Nice start for his face turn. Got to see him have some long single matches before I can make a finally judgment on him but that was a good performance by him tonight.

Roman Reigns tied Aja Kong's elimination record with four eliminations. Aja Kong accomplished this in a 4-on-4 match. Diesel previously eliminated three (as others have), and helped lead to the countout elimination of a fourth man, but this doesn't count as a fourth elimination.

In 1996 it came down to Crush and Goldust against Rocky Maivia and Rocky pinned both of them to be the sole survivor. In 2013 it came down to Rey and Goldust against Roman Reigns and Reigns pinned both of them to be the sole survivor.
I feel like they knew this.

He's got a long loooooong way to go before he's proven he's ready for big things. Anyone could squash some guys in a 5-on-5. Mason Ryan can do that shit.

It's probably been called a million times by now, but Roman Reigns = the new Batista.
I'd put bank on it.

Dude has held his own in 6-man tags against the best the company has to offer for a year now. I'm not saying he's some tremendous worker but there is obviously something special there.

Watch Ambrose talk about how dominant the Shield was like he was a big part of the match only for Reigns to lay him out with a spear.

I hope they get him going in some 1 on 1 matches. I want to see if he can pull it off, he's always been in tags and been the guy who obliterates people with a spear and looks like a beast, without really carrying the match. I can't think of a singles match he's had that wasn't against Daniel Bryan.
He looked great tonight, definitely intriguing. But, I need to see more out of him.

I read that they were looking to book the Shield vs the Wyatts for WM so that's why they teased us a few weeks ago. With that said I think we will see Reigns slowly building his name up until WM where because of him they win the match. Afterwards we will get a classic Triple H/Batista thing with him and Ambrose. Ambrose will somehow move up slightly and think he's better than Reigns until Reigns explodes on him and takes his position.

When it came down to 5 on 2, I literally said to my brother and his friend that "Reigns is going to pulverize them", AND BOY WAS I NOT WRONG.
