I was a big fan of the band, had all their albums and saw them live at Reading Festival few years ago and I've found it hard since the allegations came out to listen to their music and feel comfortable doing so. Which is a shame because so many of their songs are awesome but I just don't feel right listening to them.
I feel really sorry for the rest of the band, of course we don't know if they had any idea this was going on but for now it's wrong to tar them with the same brush and a shame for them that their music is basically going to die out now. Of course considering the seriousness of the case (I felt like throwing up after reading all the sordid details) their music isn't important in the slightest.
Again it will be interesting to see a few years from now if their music does get played anywhere at all or whether people will soften on it. We shall see.

You still hear Gary Glitter songs every now and again. I've heard Rock and Roll Part 1 a few places whilst in the USA. Although the people responsible may be guilty of horrible crimes, a good song is still a good song and it doesn't make you a paedophile if you listen to it. The thing is that in America, Gary Glitter is a one hit wonder and only known for Rock and Roll Part 1 but then again a lot of people probably don't even know who sing the song, and just think of it as "that football song" Rock and Roll Part 2 is the song that's usually heard, that's the instrumental. Also it fits because Lostprophets are pretty much a one hit wonder in America too

Yeah, I don't know if I can go back and listen to their music and it not be weird. Which kind of sucks because I was really into The Fake Sound of Progress. Loved that album.

The more I read about this, the sicker it gets. Not only Watkins, but the sick parents involved. I'll put this in spoilers because it's disgusting... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}"The charges included sexually touching a one-year-old and encouraging a groupie to abuse her own child during a webcam chat." news.uk.msn.com/uk/peaches-sorry-for-tweeting-names-2I mean... what the f***. At what point does your fandom get to the stage where you're willing to abuse your own kid just because the lead singer of your favourite band asks you too?

I only know who they are because of that Jeff Hardy Rooftops video. That said I have that song in my workout playlist and will leave it there.

I personally didn't give a damn after Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja. Last Train Home was terrible and I didn't even care after that song came out.
Globally, they will be erased from history, but at leas the other band members won't have to start from square one if they choose to continue making music. They'll always be "the guys from that band with the pedo."
Shame.
