Man, I can't even find words that describe how awesome I think this movie is. What say the rest of you?

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

Al Pacino was freaking born to be the devil.

They musta had to rebuild the sets a couple times, what with Al chewing every bit of the scenery in every scene. And it was glorious.
And was Keanu's AWFUL "Southern" accent.
Fun fact, it took me about forty minutes into the first time I saw it to realize Charlize wasn't Ashley Judd.

Pacino's rant against God might be the greatest thing he's ever done.

This was the movie that made me think there are two Pacinos, the one they have for day to day Pacino, and the one they wheel around in Hannibal Lechter restraints and unleash in a room only for moments that require that certain level of ACTING!

Pacino have the best one-man-show in a movie since Raul Julia in Street Fighter. He didn't just chew the scenery, he swallowed it, digested it, and crapped out sheer brilliance!

Homer in Rent 2: Condo Fever, had nothing on Al Pacino in this movie.
I think he saw Keanu, and decided he needed to act for Keanu, so he was acting for 2 people. As it went on he decided to act for the extras, stage hands, and production assistants. He was acting for 473 people by the time filming was done.

Al Pacino was great and that was pretty much the only thing that kept this film from sucking big time.

It took me YEARS to finally see this film, I was dying to watch it, saw it and hated it, I can't remember much at the moment but I remember the film going completly OTT towards the end and spinning into Sam Raimi dancing demons territory. I wanted so bad to like it, Pacino is my favourite actor, I love courtroom drama and LOVE satanic aspects in films but this, ugh.

See it being totally bonkers is why it was fun. Played straight, it woulda been just a bad version of Faust.
This was a bad version of Faust, but so nuts bout it that it was awesome.
Another thing I loved? Screenwriter just going "f*** it, call him John Milton"
