22 years ago today, WWF held its first (and only) annual This Tuesday in Texas event. Let us remember this once in a lifetime event.

Really dumb idea to use Survivor Series 1991 as a platform to promote this show.
That's my only comment..

I didn't have PPV in my area back then but I can only imagine how pissed my parents would be if they had bought me Survivor Series and I begged them to buy me another PPV a couple days later.

I never saw TTiT until the guys/lads from OSW Review did a show on it.
As a kid, I remember I felt gipped that this was the show Macho Man fought Jake the Snake on.

I actually saw this on a Coliseum release circa 1992 and quite enjoyed the show. Bret/Skinner is quite good if I recall, as is Bulldog/Warlord (!). Macho/Jake is all sorts of awesome but is more of an angle than a match (and should have been a DQ to be honest). The main even is a spectacle and an overbooked screwjob at a time when that sort of thing was kinda rare in WWE main events.

My parents thought Survivor Series cost too much money and wouldn't let me order it. Tuesday In Texas was half the price so my parents let me get it. It was worth it just for Jake vs. Savage alone.

Quite possibly the greatest heel promo of all time occurred on this PPV. That alone makes it worth remembering.

I remember it only being like 9.95 or something, so I was able to talk my mom into ordering it.
It didn't feel like a PPV, honestly. And then for the Hogan/Taker match to lead directly to Royal Rumble? Man, way to leave my 11 year old self unsatisfied.

Around this time last year a friend of mine gave me a bunch of PPVs he taped and there were some I'd never seen. I was excited. TTIT I had never seen, or at least don't remember. One of the Supertapes had either the entire show or a few matches and I know I saw that but again, don't remember TTIT.
I would have preferred a few more matches even for a low price for the PPV. We've seen Warlord v. Bulldog, Skinner wasn't IC title worthy (Brain and Gorilla even seemed to refer to that), Tito's PPV loss history alone indicate the way this match would go. I suppose 9.99 is worth it for the Hulk/Undertaker and Macho/Jake match. I know the Jake feud was a focal point but when I was watching the PPV I just felt it was amazingly boring seeing the whole snake bite play out.
I'm glad WWF didn't do too many of these small PPVs until In Your House. That is what I enjoyed about the Saturday Night's Main Events growing up or Clash of the Champions, but more so SNME in WWF's case as they had about four matches which were PPV quality but for free!

Wasn't this sort of pulled together somewhat haphazardly? I'd thought they botched the finish at Survivor Series and had to correct it somehow without pulling a Rio.

Didn't Jake slap Elizabeth on this PPV? That had to be the most evil thing anyone could do at that time.

Loved this PPV and the SS before it.
Easier to love back in the day when one could get PPVs for the low, low cost of free. Had it on tape, no idea what happened to it though. Should check it out on-line again some day.

That Roberts promo. Would have been pushing it in the Attitude era.
That's also as pissed as I've seen Mean Gene.

TIT took place here in San Antonio and gave way to a funny Heenan quote:
Heenan: "You know why there were only 220 Mexicans at the Alamo? They only had one car."

As one who bought the SurSeries PPV, and who could be put in his place by his parents rather firmly back then, let me just say that the Tuesday in Texas purchase was just not even an option...

The Randy Savage vs Jake Roberts feud was fantastic. It should be the text book example to every new wrestler on how to be a heel and babyface.
I hated the Main event though, as I didn't want Hogan winning, and he no sells taker to an insane degree.
But I cant help but wonder, why no Ric Flair match? 2 PPV's in a row with nothing for Flair?

OK, for the record, has anyone seen this in BOTH the Tuesday in Texas broadcast AND Supertape '92 versions? Anybody know the differences?
