I'm so confused as to how a bomb blew up in a guys face and he was fine enough to be working an hour later.

For those planning to watch it, I'm happy to announce that the version currently on Netflix streaming is the THEATRICAL version that hasn't been commercially released on DVD/Blu-Ray/VOD, so if you've ever wanted to see the film with the original music and original ending/post-credit sequence, now is your chance!

What is the difference? {Spoiler}It's similar to the Empire Records theatrical cut/ultimate fan edition where some of the music and bits of dialogue are swapped out for alternate takes. The biggest difference is that the theatrical version end with the happy ending at the parade and then then "What did you get me?" scene is left as a PS after the credits, whereas the "Family Fun Edition" just continues straight from the parade to the family back home for that scene with nothing after the credits, which kind of changes the vibe of the ending. Make sense?

I want to know how this city expects to be safe when a man can fool the cops into thinking he is a detective by showing them a plastic toy badge.

This was a classic, IMO. As far as Arnold movies it's definitely lower card compared to the upper card action movies he's done. As a kid I loved it and still get enjoyment out of it when it's on TV. Arnold's accent really extenuates the craziness of the whole ordeal of simply trying to get a doll for his son. He was an honest guy who resorts to devious Mr. Fuji-like ways of having to make the Christmas successful and I think it shows what the holidays can do to a person. I really enjoy the ending especially because, although not everyone is going to have "the real Turboman at home", it shows that we really don't need the gifts if we have something more important in family or friends.
