You'd be hard-pressed to describe anyone's gimmick clearly beyond guys like Fandango or The Wyatt Family. Daniel Bryan has already transcended a gimmick at this point. Same with Cena, Punk, Orton, Sheamus, Big Show etc.

Not really, I'm pretty good at using just-barely-true-but-incredibly-dishonest labels for characters.
I call Bryan an over the top goatman who screams Yes a lot. Sheamus is a psychopath incapable of comprehending the need of a reason to hit his finisher on people. Orton is a bald schizophrenic. CM Punk is a bunch of punk song lyrics rolled into the form of a person. Triple H is a member of royalty who forfeited his royal ties once he realized modern society no longer saw them as worthy of praise and attempted to regain his champion's birthright by winning in THIS BUSINESS.

He's an unassuming but goofy-looking guy who happens to be ridiculously campy, prone to wildly overreacting, and probably needs to be on some kind of medication, but he's also an incredibly determined, scrappy little badass who can bend you into a pretzel.

Gimmicks don't really exist anymore nowadays in the way they did in the past. There are a few exceptions, but most guys don't have strict gimmicks probably in part due to social media

That's basically what he is right now. He used to have one of the more developed characters in the company but they've really simplified his character in recent months to just being the "YES!" guy that has awesome matches. I liked him in Team Hell No!, but now he's just irritating. |
