Okay so Mom has 3 daughters and meets a dude with 3 sons. That part is easy to understand. But why the hell were his kids still living with him anyway? Right in the theme song it says "they were foreman living all together." A foreman usually makes decent enough money. Those kids should've been able to afford their own damn places with that kind of cash or at least could've gotten an apartment together. Instead they're always bothering their dad for money. Freakin deadbeats.

Also Why name the Island you are shipwrecked on after the dumbass who keeps screwing up your rescue attempts? How about Mary Ann Island, or The Howell Island?

Like has been mentioned, it's four men, not foremen.
Besides, what father allows bunch of kids to rent out an apartment for themselves?

I heard they all have four arms as well. They do a good job hiding them.

Given it is also a cheesy sitcom in its own way, I did at least think Step By Step handled it a little more realistically, in that Brady Bunch, it seems to be such a smooth transition for them, but Step by Step played up the in-fighting.

Also Why name the Island you are shipwrecked on after the dumbass who keeps screwing up your rescue attempts? How about Mary Ann Island, or The Howell Island? Because if it was Mary Ann's Island, everyone would want to visit.
