Since when is a guy who's on TV every week a surprise entrant? Ideally if he weren't a "surprise" he would already be in the match. He and Bray Wyatt would not be having a singles match. They would instead get some time in the Rumble match itself to face off. Yeah but you could say the same thing about Big Show vs Brock. Are they gonna be "surprise" Rumble entrants as well?

It's gotten to the point guys do double duty without it being officially announced. So in theory, yes, they can be "surprises."

Yeah but in most of those cases, it's the guys who didn't win the world title matches. They aren't going to announce that on TV cuz it looks stupid. But if they're in a standard singles match or a lower tier title match, they usually announce they're in.

I have to admit, that interview leaves me with a TINGE of hope, as the comment pushes an earlier narrative, suggesting that the story hasn't concluded. Of course, I'm also a pessimist, so the remaining portion of my mind is bellowing out, "Shut the hell up, you're crazy, man."

This probably strengthens my hope that my guarantee will only be proven to be true.

I didn't end up watching Smackdown but did they confirm Cesaro, Swagger, Axel, Ryback, and the New Age Outlaws for the rumble?

God dammit they did the one thing I absolutely hate! Announce who the number 1 entry is before the match That's 3 years in a row now. Stop it Couldn't agree more, in a world of scripted events having some surprises is key. Number 1 in the rumble should not be announced or given to anyone, likewise 2 or 30. I watch rumbles for the random factor, take that away and I'm asking myself why am I watching it again?

Bought the show in HD for myself for my birthday, seeing as it's the last Rumble that's a PPV exclusive and the Rumble is usually my favorite show I had to do it.

Bad News Barrett @wadebarrett I've given up my spot in this year's #RoyalRumble to make way for a WWE legend. It's top secret, but just between us, here's a clue: Voodoo. these days it wouldn't be a Royal Rumble without one Papa Shango mention by Barrett Yep, he's been doing that bit the last couple years(google 'Wade Barrett Papa Shango'). Maybe it'll actually pay off this year, like the "RVD one shot deal" one did at the '09 Rumble.

For me, tomorrow's Rumble is as big, if not bigger, than Money in the Bank 2011 for obvious reasons.

Well I have officially arrived in Pittsburgh for the Royal Rumble and checked into my hotel. This was the most insane six hour drive of my life. 300 miles down the Pennsylvania Turnpike with on and off snow storms, some with white-out conditions. I'm glad I made it here alive. Right now I'm enjoying my lunch of Steak N Shake take-out (NYC really needs to get a full sized one of these, not the half-assed one they have next to the David Letterman show) and hoping the snow calms down before I have to leave the ROH show tonight.

I'm usually excited for the Rumble anyway, but this will be the first time attending live. Very excited, to say the least.

We're driving up tomorrow from here in West Virginia. It normally takes about three and a half hours to get to Pittsburgh from my house but we are leaving around 8 or 9 in the morning to give us extra time because of the weather. We can't check in our hotel until 4 anyway so if we have to kill time, we can find something to do.
